If only Freddy could sing this one... it sounds like a Queen song... :D Kerrys voice isn't really powerful enough for this kind of music, she sounds too much like a pop / R&B singer... great voice and talented singer never the less.

@rondack17 I'd advise you do some basic googling before chucking insults at Sorafsfd. Freddie's style is well-known as singing rock songs in tenor (despite the fact that his voice fell naturally into baritone). And he did often switch to falsetto.(although not in live performances) Just trying to clear this up.

@1nkheart1 This makes it sounds even more powerful though. The problem with many tenors for me was the fact that their voices sound a bit thin and weedy. Freddies baritone texture was somehow preserved when he belted out notes in the tenor range, which made the vocal sound thicker, and therefore with more power. Ok, it wore his voice down and it suffered towards the end of tours (Wembley 86, prime example. Bootlegs of early shows on that tour are excellent), but he would still sound powerful.

@sorafsfd Freddie had one of the most powerful voices in the history of rock. Ok, he used falsetto a fair bit in the studio, but when performed live he would attempt to hit those notes in his full voice i.e belt them out (best place to find examples of this is in the late 70's, early 80's, like when he sings Bohemian Rhapsody pitch perfect with no falsetto /watch?v=jYbvx_7MAgI )

Because she isn't - her technique is actually spot on, all of the time. And you don't need to love the "leading lady" in order to love the musical itself. It just so happened that those 6 times I went to see it, she was in it. I've seen it 3 times without her in it n it was still the same.... just a better leading lady.... sometimes..... She's got a good voice, but she is very over rated.

fantastic....we were sitting behind kerry when she was in the audience seeing wicked when a lot of the cast were leaving. We were the scottish two in the audience who did not know what was going on.
