With regards to the lyrics, I see that someone commenting corrected "sweet God" to "sweet guy". Before I ever noticed it in the lyric sheet, I also thought it was "God", and I kinda still think that it is.....at least it is to me. Either way, this song is beyond beautiful. Just.......beautiful......

It is strangely odd that he sings about water and the foreshadowing of his death so often. I wonder why? Ya know, I mean what's up? He was one of the greatest singers in the world. I mean damn, did he feel love or not? Was he happy or not? I wish that I had known him and could have pal'd around with him and asked him these questions.

@handsomerube Agreed. In so many of his songs it was like he was foreshadowing an early death. In the opening verse of Lover You Should've Come Over I always thought that the part where he sang about watching mourners at a funeral was like him watching over his own memorial after his death.
