  • @ApartGentleman - I suppose being German with most of the classical composers being from there and in Austria, you have an ideal perspective of classical and modern classic music -films scores etc.

  • @ChuckyDoll10 You could be right about that.

  • Now, now children this is only the internet. I know you all fell safe and tough in front of your computer screens, but lets try to keep on topic. Good documentary so far!

  • For many years Dr Campbell has been concerned that the received truth that Scots kings were descended from Irish invaders was not the truth at all.

He has concluded any migration between the west coast of Scotland and north east Ireland was in the opposite direction to that previously thought.

Scots are by far and large the Caledonian Picts, Dál Riata is now believed to have always been indigenous to Scotland, and it was destroyed after the 'Battle of Degsastan', then subject to the Picts

  • THE belief that the Scots are descendants of Irish settlers who crossed from Antrim in the sixth century is being dismissed as a myth by an eminent archaeologist.

In a detailed research paper published by Glasgow University yesterday, Ewan Campbell argues the claimed migrations of the Irish into Argyll can be attributed to "a set of elite origin myths, finding no support in archaeological evidence".

  • Wasn't the Orkney and Shetland islands of Northern Scotland, settled by the Norwegian Vikings?

  • @RedCastle5000 the celtic picts lived there first, the norse settled there and replaced their culture

  • See also on Youtube the whole documentary:

    "The Viking Serpent"

  • Celtic Christianity differs from other forms of Christianity fundamentally through its view of Jesus as a fertility figure.

  • Prevalent throughout the British Isles for four hundred years from the second century AD, Celtic Christianity is believed by scholars to be one of the closest forms of Christianity to the teachings of the purported, but certainly mythical, Historical Jesus - a sort of Hellenized form of eastern Budhism mixed with Gnostic concepts.

  • @dhsscd problem;

1.Official secular academic concensus concludes Jesus of Nazareth was a 1st century AD Pharisaic Jew from Roman Judea who claimed to be God & the only way to God, was condemned on a charge of blasphemy for it & executed on a charge of treason.

2.The New Testament concensus is Jesus of Nazareth was a 1st century AD Pharisaic Jew from Roman Judea Who claimed to be God & the only way to God, was condemned on a charge of blasphemy for it & executed on a charge of treason.

  • @EmetTalmudim6 Why was he called Jesus of Nazerath i thought he was born in Bethlahem???

  • @dixon97a

    1.He was raised in Nazareth.

2.In Hebrew it was a prophetic play on words; because He was from the ROOT of Jesse father of King David.

  • The Druid cultures that embraced this new mythology recognized in the figure of a Christ a fulfillment of their own religion's aims. Celts believed Jesus was an ordinary man, who had achieved mystical enlightenment. Stories of the resurrection were read in the poetic sense that was natural to druid priests, who saw this as a metaphor for change from mere human to Divine consciousness that they themselves sought through mystic practices.

  • @dhsscd

1."Celtic" Christianity info is ambiguous, inagmatic, & incomplete at best.

2.All such conclusions about Druidism or "Celtic" Christianity are based on 19'th-21'st century romanticism by secularists turned occultists/New Agers, not on the historical facts.

3.All the historical facts point to a system rooted not in Druidism but preRomanist 1st century Judeo Christianity & "Dark Age" Coptic & Assyrian Christianity (All more or less consistant with Romanism, granted more Evangelical).

  • A death and rebirth of one's spirit, not of the body, and an echo of the already established death and rebirth understanding of their Nature-based religion.

  • To express this understanding symbolically, the Celts portrayed the crucified Christ with an erection, poetically rendering both death and rebirth/fertility.

  • The cynical concept of Original Sin, that Man's natural state is evil and can only be corrected through baptism/initiation into the Roman Catholic Church, was completely alien to the Celtic Christians, who believed Man was born with Original Virtue; that a Divine source existed in all humankind from birth. It was believed Man could achieve redemption and atonement through choices and actions, as opposed to simply accepting the dogma and authority of the Roman Catholic Church.

  • The Celtic culture with its harmonious meeting of Eastern Gnostic Christianity and traditional European Pagan religions was wiped out by the Holy Roman Empire and the Roman Catholic Church around the year six hundred and sixty six (CE 666) following the massacre of all Celtic Christian high priests who would not accept the authority of Rome, beheading as many as four thousand in a single day, according to monastic records.

  • However, the cultural revival of Celtic Christianity by dancer Michael Flatley and traditional Celtic bands has been an important factor in the present-day moves to end the problems of Ireland, allowing a disparate people to recognize a common heritage prior to the complex politics of the Holy Roman Catholic Church and its Protestant schisms. And like the serpent shedding its skin, Jesus left a "ghost image" shed skin behind in a cave.

  • @krissyeh well, that doesn't change the fact that ACCORDING TO SECULAR SCIENCE;

1.We're inherantly hardwired to rsepond to religious experiences. (Logically, there MUST therefore be a Hardwirer).

2.For something to be truly Law there must be a Lawgiver, otherwise it's just a matter of oppinion & easily violated with no consequences.

    3.Nobody+Nothing=Everything is mathamatically impossible..

4.I presume you believe all people equal with the right to life, liberty, & the pursuit of happiness?

  • @EmetTalmudim6

Get your uneducated head out of that deluded bible for it has fried your brain.

Can't you see that all religions were made up by humans (men). If you can't see that then you are incapable of any critical thinking and I feel sorry for you.

Thank fucking christ that I don't in America for you deluded creatards/christians have fucked that country up.

Now take your bible and shove it.

  • @krissyeh may I ask you something; How old are you? Add a 150 years to your life how old will you be?

  • @EmetTalmudim6

You really are full of empty space aren't you.

Stupid bloody question. I have seen you ask that many times.

    You are a delusional fool.

Goodbye and have a great time praising your imaginary friend when you get locked up in a padded cell.

I have cared for people like you in a mental hospital and there was no hope for them for they were too far gone.

  • Comment removed

  • @EmetTalmudim6

No I am done with you and your stupid and deluded ideas.

    Chow.

  • @krissyeh well God loves you & I love you as He loves you. I pray unceasingly for you.

  • @EmetTalmudim6 Tell me this - how did your "God" take nothing and create everything. According to Christians I have talked to he operates out of existence, making him nonexistent. 0 (nonexistent God) plus 0 (what he has to work with) equals one is mathematically impossible. Whenever the world ends I know no one will save the earth because no one has that power. Plus there is this "Rapture" where every Christian ascends to heaven and EVERY ONE ELSE GOES TO HELL. I find your "God" is EVIL not good

  • @Slajjin The Nature of God;

What we are summarizing is that since God

1.always was, is, & will be

2.always was, is, & will be allpowerful, allknowing, & everywhere at once

3.always was, is, & will be as just, righteous, & good as He is loving, merciful, gracious, & forgiving

    4.the source of all things

He is therefore inherantly above & beyond (superior to His creation) just as an artist is inherantlysuperior to their art, a musician to their music, or an author to their work.

  • @Slajjin Keep in mind a King may pass & enforce a law forbidding any in His domain from wearing a Crown but that does not prevent Him from wearing one; IE the King has prerogatives His subordinates do not, & it is no more wrong for Him to excercise those prerogatives than for a judge, police, parents, or teachers to excercise theirs.

  • @Slajjin To get the Rapture/following events keep in mind;

1.He doesn't DESIRE that any perish, but were He to force people to trust Him

A.all He'd have is robots; But He wants relationship.

B.Forced love is rape & He isn't a divine rapist.

2.His plans are phased (as the best plans are). So picture His salvation plan as a pendulum

    Adam-Abraham(The entire human race)

    Abraham-Jesus(The Jews)

    Jesus-the Rapture(The entire human race)

The Tribulation(The Jews & those who haven't heard the Gospel)

  • @Forysan

You made the claim where are your references?

  • @krissyeh more precisely the sun is both shrinking & expanding. I'll get back to you on references. The point is were we talking about any other scientific or historical FACT going back & forth with references would neither lead anywhere or convince either of us. As to how old evolutionists CLAIM the earth is, 20 million or 4.5-4.6 million yrs old, it's irrelavent because they're NEVER sure & the principle is the same, it would still be much smaller than it is now & the universe colder.

  • Comment removed

  • @EmetTalmudim6

You might have changed your channel but you are still and uneducated fool for now you are saying the Sun was smaller, "it would still be much smaller than it is now".

  • @thomasrisk that's whai was going to ask, too. sounds amazing. can anybody help us out?

  • @WuTangWallace Found it! It's called, of all things, a Triplepipe heh. The one being played here is an Ardchattan Triplepipe.

You can find a video with more info on them by searching for "Northern Triplepipe by Montisci & Brown: Ardchattan in G - No.9"

The full performance is also on YouTube; "Deus Auribus - Psalm 44 - Triple pipes and Singing".

  • I freaking love the music in this documentary. So refreshing

  • Thanks jamgilp for taking the time and effort for these uploads. Im watching in NW Australia, A scot ! Thank You

  • @metalronin So it's always the "religious" people who start the fights? It's only the "religious" people who complain and keep arguing? It's only the "religious" people who continue to "preach their truth"? Let me tell you, we all, ALL, keep "preaching", so to speak, our truth, whether Christian or Atheist. Atheists believe in Science, and they also keep strongly preaching it like if it was their god. Now why isnt that annoying to you? Because you just happen be on their side. (cont. below)

  • @gizlivadi8013 It doesnt matter who started the fight, it doesnt matter who defended his point better, it doesnt matter who is more rude or offensive, it doesnt matter if both have been fevereshly arguing for ages; the only one who is to blame is the Christian. You see, my friend, you're as biased as anyone you'd call "unfair" or "unreasonable" or "close-minded".

  • stop telling craps, folks. enjoy the video and the wonderful chant in the church

  • @ahavnes I love the "Assumptions of Evolution" - they just kill me!! Wow! That intelligent people can be fooled into believing this stuff...

  • @TheBestlaidschemes 1. Life arose from nonliving matter (i.e., spontaneous generation occurred). 2. Spontaneous generation only occurred once. 3. Viruses, bacteria, plants and animals are interrelated. 4. Multicellular animals (metazoa) evolved from unicellular or single-celled organisms (protozoa or protists). 5. Various invertebrate phyla are interrelated.

  • Responder a este vídeo... 6. Vertebrate animals evolved from invertebrate animals. 7. Vertebrate animals evolved from fish to amphibians, from amphibians to reptiles, from reptiles to birds and mammals, etc.

  • @ahavnes I think Darwin himself would have made an excellent missing link!

  • @TheBestlaidschemes

Hmm, I'm guessing you're talking about Jesus. He did take a whip to the people selling in a church though.

  • @BinaryBunyip He actually overturned the money changers (bankers) tables set up within the grounds of the Temple!

John 2: 15, 16: "And when he had made a scourge of small cords, he drove them all out of the temple, and the sheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers' money, and overthrew the tables; And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things hence; make not my Father's house an house of merchandise."

  • @TheBestlaidschemes

Ok, so it was an act of defiance. I bet he actually did cause physical harm, it's just not written in the mainstream Bibles. :D

  • @TheBestlaidschemes

Get your bible thumping bullshit out of here.

  • @krissyeh - Truth hurts eh??!!

  • @TheBestlaidschemes

You are like a well trained Parrot, you keep saying the same thing over and over again without any understanding of what you are saying.

  • @krissyeh - Grow up and get yourself a real education before you get involved in intellectual discussions...

  • @krissyeh - Oh, and by the way - pray tell me exactly WHAT I have repeated??

  • @Forysan

    1. we are hardwired to find answers, and the first men found answers in religion.

    2. a law does not need a lawgiver - that is just false logic you are spouting "the clock on the beach" argument...

    3. evidence please =)

why are you so aggressive about evolution? yes, evolutions tells us that the complexity of life could happen without the need of a god. But we are not telling you that you can´t live without believing in a god. I personally do not believe in a god.

  • @KaptajnKaffe Note; For personal reasons I am no longer posting under Forysan. Please relate all responses to the current address. Thank you & God bless.

1.The point is we are INHERANTLY hardwired so. Thus, there mus be a Hardwirer.

2.If a Law does not have a Lawgiver it is just opinion & you ought to be able to violate it. Since we cannot violate natural laws there must be Someone beyond them sustaining & enforcing them.

  • @KaptajnKaffe

3.If you mean canine=Wolf, dog, fox, or coyote etc no problem

If you mean Amphibian=Reptile=Mammal=primate=man that contradicts Biology, big problem.

  • That's one of the many problems with a White Supremacist idiology; no one aspousing to it is even mostly Indo-European, let alone purely so, & the purest Indo-Aryans are Iranians, who meet few & often none of the featured trait claimed as inherant by White Supremacists. People are so funny LOL.

  • However, it is important to keep two things in mind;

1.Red and blond hair probably came about in all these people as a genetic variation in the cold climate of Northern Europe. If Negroid peoples had settled their first the same thing would have happened.

2.Indo-European in most "Caucasian"-I hate that term for so many reasons-Europeans is small in comparison to the nonIndo-European genes from Basques & others.

  • baceace is correct to a point, much of the tendancy toward red and blond hair comes from the Vikings who settled in in Ireland, and Scotland & somewhat from the earlier Celtic migrants. The original inhabitants of the British Isles-who are still in the majority genetically-are most closely related to the Basque people of France and Spain (a non Indo-European people predating even the Celts). That is where the term 'Black Irish' comes from. It refers to these Irish of western & southern Ireland.

You live your faithful life and i will live my logical (although some might not see me as very logical haha. but you know what i mean) life. goodbye. live long and prosper? i dunno i never watched star trek.

  • @TheBestlaidschemes Thumbs up. This thing against Christianity is a myth and a prejudice that has been going around for way too long and among too many people. Thanks for pointing that out.

Fuck you, fuck your "god", and fuck everything you stand for. Have a shitty day.

  • @HoundofOdin And here we have the "liberal", postmodern, and "tolerant" opinionist. What you just said is probably the same some Christian inquisitor said back in the Middle Ages, just with pagan gods instead of Jesus.

Way to have a respectful discussion and stand your ground with dignity and maturity, HoundofOdin.

  • @Forysan - Yeah the Macbeth story is an interesting one and I agree that a documentary would be nice. There's an awful lot to fit in this 10 part series though and I can understand why he and many other Kings were omitted. I mean there's basically 1200 years stuffed into this first episode in order to get to the Wars of Independence as soon as possible. I think that's what the general viewing public were waiting for the most.
