You're kind of an asshole for insulting someone who provided a song to you for free. And if you are a fan you would buy the damn song instead of listening to it on Youtube
Fuck all that club/dance that claims being electronic music. Depth and quality of J.H. is way too further. If only ppl could understand how shitty Guetta and pseudo-DJs are...
I wanted to say something profound in how I understand the awesomnes of his music bur I found I dont have the words... this music is the closest to portraying the bittersweet of life.
@916kyle I never restrict plays or embedding, don't see the point... I've enabled TV and phones now, I think this option wasn't there when this one was uploaded... :)
I went to see Crass (any punks out there?) but they were postponed. All alone at the venue, I instead went to go see a concert, 'Jon Hopkins and Royksopp.'
Boy, am I glad I paid to see Jon Hopkins! (Royksopp? Eh, I can speak Norwegian somewhat but they weren't for me)
Jon Hopkins was, I think, AMAZING! He has such rhythm and he moves his body in such complicated ways while performing! Dang, no regrets for those $23.
@blf112761 I'm still choreographing my peice at the moment but so far going really well, cut music down to 2.55 but yeah still in love with this .. never too over played! have a performance first week of may then exam is the week after!! :D
incredible shit!!!! Like a fucking mind n´soul massage or something!!! Just two blows of weed and the fucking Jon Hopkins: you could even learn to fly!!
I went to the Coldplay concert in Anaheim in the winter of 2008, and this band named supercar or something opened up for them, and they were okay. But after that we waited, and this rectangular screen and a podium got put up on stage. On the screen was these wild and colorful loops of animation, and this guy walks on stage and starts playing this atmospheric and trippy music... I later found it to be Jon Hopkins opening with Vessel. Took me by surprise and now I'm hooked on this song.
I'd also recommend Vangelis, Ulrich Schnauss, William Orbit, Tycho, Aural Float, Adam Nickey, Plaid, sasha, Terra Nine, Tripswitch, but this is only the tip of the ambient iceberg- theres so much more out there that even I havent heard of......
@tmmitzzie Plaid, Sasha, and Adam Nickey are all fantastic artists (I'm really impressed you like Plaid, not many people know about them!), however, they are not ambient in the slightest. Plaid is borderline minimal and Adam Nickey and Sasha are like house/trance.
I heard this in the demo... Very beautiful game!
