because of the feeling I have right now this is why I go out of my way to find anime no one remembers or would sanely abridge to consider to do.
because when your not the first one doing the series and you don't come out around the same time your first few episodes will be compared to the other that came out and if it doesn't dwarf the older work you might get discouraged to continue.
Mm, yeah. That's what I was thinking about when I was considering doing this and proposing it to everyone else who is now on the project.
I only discovered Utena maybe a year ago, and aside from that, only maybe a handful of people I know have heard of it let alone watched it.
The feeling I got from watching was that this is such a DEEP COMPLEX anime it'd be hard to poke fun at (aside from the blatantly obvious things). Seriously, my feeling is that I'm going to be screwed
when it comes time to poke fun at the final saga and the final six episodes where everything comes full circle and the true beauty of the anime really comes forward.
I thought, with all these factors, no one will touch this before I can make a decent start. Obviously it backfired on me because someone thought the same thing as me and was like "oh I'm going to do it." And it just happened to be SMA's team. No hate against them, just a really weird coincidence.
well I see you truly are a fan and when I notice one of my friend rating your episodes I'll check into it.
much better than the one I and my team are going with. we're more fans of the products than the show itself as we are less than normal fans of it and only two of us even saw this thing. everyone else ether forgot or were too young to see it.
