your playing it in standard D right? i've been playing it in drop D... it's a little easier that way in my opinion. also... i cant figure out that melody that comes right before the verse... sweet video though. great job

Its the same way of playing D and Drop D only that all other strings will be correct so that when you hi the power chords as you do on standrad tuning they will sound darker and heaver since its dropped

you can still play across all 3 strings with one finger in D tuning
