  • never mind, I figured it out, thanks!

  • How would you do this in 2.5 or above, preferably the latest version?

  • omg!!! this is the best method for realtime grass. its visuals are not as good as the other tutorials but it is very low gpu/cpu intensive!! thanks man!!!

  • can you help me? my image is kinda small so do you know how to make the texture so its like multiple images? like at 1:00 it was really big but at 1:13 it was many images... please respond!!!!!1

  • @Tojan360 you have to click the materials button, and on the right side there will be a "Map Input" button. click that. and select UV instead of Orco

  • @totter333

well i did that, but im not working with it anymore so nevermind but thnx anyway :)

  • yea this guys fake he stoped the video to add a crapy animation of grass he pree modeled this dont work u CANT MAKE GRASS in the game engine. this video is market fake.

  • @lllllsp1d3rlllll based on your comment I know A couple things about you.

    1. You love Caps Lock

    2. you didn't follow my tutorial, or if you did, you did it wrong

    3. you speak before you think

    reasons it's not fake:

    1. 3:17 is in the view port. Any blender noob knows that whatever works in view port, works in game when using GLSL

  • @lllllsp1d3rlllll yeah man... this tutorial is 100 percent legit

  • whoa, kinda messes with your eyes

  • @InfiniteTechnicolor sorry i didn't think about that. here are some steps to get you started.

    -open gimp

-go to file>new>advanced options>change "fill with" to "transparency"

-go to filters>noise>RGB noise>set all sliders to 0 except alpha

-go to colors>colorize>use the sliders to make it the shade of green you want

    hope this helped

  • looks like normal mapping to me.

  • Thanx, I'm sure this will be useful ^^

  • Love it

  • How did u make the noise???

  • U should make a video for beginers looks like u know alot. Do u think you'll make a game soon or a short mini game for a website.

  • oh that's so cool! :-D it never occurred to me to do it that way, that'd be perfect for a game.

  • Apply your arrays. If you have modifiers in a GE it will just get gets very slow,

  • @renno99 I, personally, would prefer to wait till right before I create the exe in case I needed to do any last minute tweaking, but thats REALLY good to know.

  • @totter333

Yes i definitely agree. Oh and 1 more thing (maybe you already know) in 2.5 if Blender crashes when rendering apply modifiers (i had lots of problems when i had lot of them)

  • @renno99 I didn't know that. Thanks for the heads up. That better not happen in the final version or I'm screwed lol :D
