  • Just listening to some more of your videos. You're one helluva songwriter too, Tim. Really enjoyed this one! :) Janet

  • @onewomanandsomesongs Thanks, Janet. This one came straight from the heart.

  • Thanks for all the great comments and hits (viewings), and best reception and 73 (72) to you all de kt8k - Tim

  • Freaking Great, I guess We all Dream about becoming a BIG GUN when We Grow Up. HiHi

The Bigger the Tower , The Louder the noise. LOL

  • Tim,

Good working you in CQWPX CW 2011! I appreciate your lighthearted tune. Every time I hear your call I think of your video, and ended up viewing it again after your 3830 posting. Hope you had a whole lot of fun sans the aluminum curtain!

The next time I feel like complaining about wires and 100w, I need to remember that you're doing it [well] at 12+ dB down from me!

    73, Mike AA8IA

  • I dont understand nothing about radio stuff, but I must confess... You're a great singer! Love your style. *Keep your heart clean and strong*. [XO from BR].

  • Tim, wish you were here.

    73, Dragan 4O4A (@4O3A, ready for 9ACW contest...)

  • @4o4a Thank you, Dragan. I wish I was there, too. Maybe some day ... I can hope.

Best reception to you and the team at 4O3A, and I hope to put you in the log again. 73 - Tim

  • @4o4a Sorry I couldn't make it, Dragan, but you guys were the first station I worked in the 9A CW contest.

Best reception and luck in the new year, and I hope you all have a safe and happy holiday season. 73 - Tim, KT8K

  • @themandolinmaniac

Tim, all of us were happy when you called us! Every contest has it's own higlight: this time it was KT8K in the log. In 10 years, nobody will remember did we win this contest or not, but I'm sure that QSO with KT8K will be something that we will keep in our memories for a looooong time.

Happy holidays, see you in the air again!

P.S. I hope Santa has YouTube, up there...

  • @4o4a You're very kind, Dragan. It was great to work you, too. I just checked, and I have 4O3A in my log 11 times going back to November 24 of 2007. I look forward to increasing that list in every possible contest, and thanks for listening for my QRP signal. 73 and best of luck in 2011! - Tim

  • @themandolinmaniac It would be good to have you in my log, too! I spent last two years in ham radio in QRP, and I completely understand what are you mandolining (I like to "invent" words) about :)

One of greatest non-contest highlights in last year was when Ranko connected one of home brew QRP rigs @4O3A towers, and gave a call to some of US guys, as 4O3A/QRP. Comment from the other side was: "HI HI 4O3A/QRP 599" :))

Take your rig and get your *** here :))

  • Dude I loved it.

  • Very nice song. See you when you will visit EU.

  • I am just thrilled so many are enjoying this video. Thanks to all who have left comments or contacted me directly. To my immense pleasure I was contacted by Ranko 4O3A (mentioned in the song) and one of his regular operators, inviting me to visit and guest operate their great station. I am honored and so happy over this. I don't have any plans to visit Europe, but will certainly include 4O3A in any future travel plans. 73 and best rx to all de kt8k - Tim

  • Cool man! I wish you sing this song for me ! ! :-) my harmonic would love this. He used to tell me: 'Get rid of your worries dad! One day you will get a biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig tower and a biiiiiiiiiiiiiig linear'... KT8K, you are brilliant. Keep it up.

  • Bravo! Even the guys with big antennas always wish they had more.

  • I love it!!!

  • One of my fellow club members (W1AQ) sent me this video link. It just "made my day". I have made so many great friends through ham radio. Now I need to check out your other inspirational vid's! Thanks YO3DLK 73, N1ICX

  • @dukwcapt Thanks, Gary. Nice amphicar you have, too. 73! - Tim, KT8K

  • Bravo!!! Very creative! Encore!

I bet it makes the top ten on ARRL Best Antenna ballads next April! Keep on strummin' OB and writing those ham radio tunes! You're good!

  • @goathiker Thanks Steve. I really enjoyed your youtube channel and vids including the goats - nice selection of music, too.

  • Oh know, you're a ham?!? Say it ain't so! Actually, good for you. I've been an SWL for the last decade now (too anti-social to talk to other folk...) I too dream of a better antenna, but the local aesthetics police (my wife) won't let me have anything up that she can see. An attic antenna is the best I can do.

I really enjoy your song-writing. Keep it up, and good luck with the contest.

    73, CelticMandoDude

  • yeah great wife :)

  • Antenna theme song!

  • Good one my friend !!

  • I do not have a tower that would have given you one for this beautiful song.

  • @YO3DLK Thanks much for the compliment. Unfortunately I would have to remove a number of very large trees and get approval from the city to put up any tower taller than 40' (12 meters). My wife is encouraging me to put a tribander on top of the house, though ... we'll see. (What a great wife, eh?)

  • @YO3DLK BTW - I hope to work you in CQWW CW (and every contest), tower or no tower! 73 and best dx to you, Alexandru
