the reason why itachi's change is cause all megekyos over their uses start to slowly seal themselves till the user losses his vision which if you watch the fight between sasuke and itachi it'll show how itachi's vision is blurred.Once u get the mangekyo it stays the way it is the only way it changes is with what madara did and that was take his brothers and combine the mangekyos and the amaterasu and the other one (sry dont know how to type it|) arent specific to to the users mangekyo

1 is a comma it allows the user to see what the oppnet is doing during the thing their doign second helps counter and see genjustu and ninjustu. 3rd can copy ninjustu genjustus and taijustu but if its unquie like haku's cristal ice mirros it cant be copied and can see what the oppent does b4 they do it.managekyou comes in many diffrent forms itach's preformes genjustu sasukes in shuppiden is the same as itachi kakshi creats a hole in time and can remove a prat of the body i have no idea on last1

Good job all of them are correct and perfect information but... there are many more sharingans just go on google and look up "sharingan forms" they show even Uchiha Shisui's sharingan which is used to control a person and they are trapped in a fake illusion.

Normal sharingan, allows you see chakra flow. Mangekyou sharingan - Hard to explain, you can for an example bring ur enemy to another dimension where 72 hours is an blink of an eye in real world, and also lets u see the chakra flow.

You're thinking of Itachi's mangekyou: Tsukyomi.

amaterasu is a black flame that follows the opponent, its also said to be as hot as the sun, and it always follows where the user's pupil looks at, tsukoyomi is an unescappable illusion where you'll be tortured for 3 days yet in actual reality a split second goes by, and dojutsu are techniques used by the eyes of the user its like

genjutsu=illusion

ninjutsu=techniques

taijutsu=hand-to-hand combat
