The idea here was to stop U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner from carrying out his proposed bailout of the entire bankrupt European banking system. Geithner went and failed, therefore, the collapse of the dollar was averted. But you would have know this had you read the article in video description. In the video report states this clearly. Not sure how you missed it?
