I can't believe I've ONLY JUST finished this game. Been playing since I was 3, on the Sega MegaDrive. Just finished on Sega MegaDrive Ultimate Collection on Xbox 360... now I feel like a king XD

@BOS6940 Haha, good job! I know the feeling. It wasn't with Sonic 2 though (I beat that game back in elementary in mid-to-late '90s) it was with Landstalker. Because of hobbies and so many other interesting games taking up my time, and several save game wipes, and the Mega Drive getting pushed aside by other platforms, my completion of the game was postponed for over 10 years!!! It felt so good to finally beat it!

I don't like how they sped up Mystic cave and used the 2 player version. Other then that, this is the best sonic of any sonic game because it lets you hear in on every great song in one of the best games ever created. We will never experience the first time we heard this song again while sitting in front of a big ass console tv at 2 am drinking chocolate milk while watching the credits roll in the dark with a warm controller from the heat from your hands from being so excited and into the game.
