I think you'll find that the writers would disagree with what you are saying about rory and jess as they were actually suppose to end up together. But due to milo's decision not to come back for the final series they let rory end up on her own. And that is very telling cos really they could have change it and had her end up with logan but I guess they felt if it wasn't with jess then it wasn't gonna be with anyone else.

Since Rory and Jess didn't get back together during the show I imagine that after the finale Luke and Lorelai are back together and they fast-track their marriage. At the wedding Rory and Jess bond and kiss. They build their relationship back up. Jess apologizes for hurting Rory when they were younger, Rory apologizes for Logan and they end up together.

ahhhh i hate this scene. what kind of 'closure' does this offer us fans? NONE!!! i feel like the producers were trying to add in this scene because they knew how much support jess/rory was still getting and they wanted to somehow put an end to it so that rory could finally move on but all it does is make me want to see them together even more.

I like Logan but Jess was PERFECT for her. They had so many things in common they just fit together. to bad things didn't work out.

When Rory finished on the Barak Obama campaign bus, she went to see Jess in Philly and they got together - she wrote for the paper and he worked in his place (or at least that is what I'm telling myself happened).

ahhhh i hate this scene. what kind of 'closure' does this offer us fans? NONE!!! i feel like the producers were trying to add in this scene because they knew how much support jess/rory was still getting and they wanted to somehow put an end to it so that rory could finally move on but all it does is make me want to see them together even more.

Rory looks different in this episode.
Her clothes, her hair... she looks different when she's with Logan. More like a girlfriend of a rich boy.
But right here, it's just her. Just Rory the way Jess loved her- the way he still loves her. Logan changed her, but not for the better. I don't like Logans Rory. Not at all.

jess didn't know how to deal with having someone like rory in the beginning. i think he loved her, but he didn't know how to be a good enough guy for her. After all this time, he really fixed up his own life becoming way more responsible and even dependable. the writers created such a perfect match between them, it's heartbreaking because WE all know how this should have ended.

in the beginning of the show (seasons 1 and 2) the ORIGINAL writers amy and dan had planned out who went with who. lorelai was supposed to be with luke and rory was always supposed to be with jess.
and whent he new writers came, man they fucked everything up.

Jess is so different! In a good way, he seems happier. He can actually talk to other people and he is so polite! haha. I think he changed for Rory so that he could be worthy enough for her. and now, he totally does deserve her! They still have amazing chemistry even though it been like 4 years! Rory and Jess forever!
I also love Luke and Jess- thought i'de add that!

i wish this episode was aired later, like at the end of season 7. that way, the writers could make it so that after this she starts realising that actually it was jess that was meant for. then logan proposes, she says no, and goes back to jess.
Jess is and Rory are destined to be. they always were, he just had to get his life together and now he has. <3 <3

Despite what Milo says, I love how they left Jess and Lierati's relatiosnhip. Kinda' open. ANd Jess got his act together, which was really good. Milo wanted Jess to die. Not a good way, in my opinion. xD

I had a typo, it's actually Literati. Literati are people who have a huge love of books or who know a lot about books. Seeing as how Jess and Rory know a lot about books and dearly love books, Literati is the perfect name for them. I have no idea who started it though.
