Amazing demos, dude! Do you know if it's possible to use the XR's fx-section as an external effects processor? I saw a picture of the back and noticed the inputs. Or are these only for sampling? Can you tell me if the XR has some of the same waveforms as the JV-1080/ 2080?

@LonDonsen I don't believe it is possible to use as an effects processor, but you could try the manual at Roland's website. And I am sorry, but I have no idea if its waveforms are related to those from prior JV synths.

actually I got a new in box sealed fantom xr... with free Jon Lord card for 750.... not so bad of a price esp in Canada

I HAVE A CHANCE to buy one for 700.... slightly used.

does it have on on screen editor? and I heard the sampler options is quite wonky. cant it just load akai stuff and play?

$700 is a good price. There's an editor that can be downloaded from the Roland site, as I recall. I have never played around with the sampler aspect.
