Well electronic rolling programs can easily be rigged, so the easiest method seemed to be dice. Of course that still could've been rigged, but if you are going to rig it, you'd might as well have used electronic dice instead of burning hours.
But I am interested in why the name and row were already selected an in full view before the dice were rolled and when the guy came up to read it...

In an effort to save time, as one person rolled, the other person in the room scrolled down the excel sheet and found the winner. Now days, using "control+f" can make scrolling down on excel sheet much easier :)
