the 360 sucks. The games for it sucks. I would be playing the 360 maybe once or twice and then put the controller down and head back to my Wii which I would be playing A LOT more. Kinect isnt a failure, its only in its launch stage firmware updates and such will make it better over time. Sorry, no Modern Warfare or any hardcore games like that, the camera has no micro-processor of it's own (as they originally had planned) and so the Kinect system takes up about 10-15% of the 360's resources. So no Halo or Gears of War with Kinect-functionality.

So Microsoft finally shifts its focus to the casual audience. I knew this day would come. For so long they had been very faithful to their massive hardcore gaming fan base. Seeing this hacked me off. Was hiring Cirque du Soleil really necessary? Kinect looks interesting, but getting a huge spectacle to grab attention from other companies is stupid. It's been widely said that Nintendo apparently 'won' E3 this year, and I haven't played the 3DS yet so I'm not sure yet, but they had the least additional novelties of them all. Just the the products and some heads from the company. Sony too. Kevin Butler was on for a few minutes but got more attention Cirque du Soleil.

I own both consoles, and I can say that they are quite equally good, because both the Xbox360 and PS3 has issues. Just face the truth, no console will be perfect.. So Microsoft finally shifts its focus to the casual audience. I knew this day would come. For so long they had been very faithful to their massive hardcore gaming fan base. But now they follow in the foot steps of the traditionally casual Nintendo and play station, one might even say taking it a large step forward by getting rid of the controller all together. Whether this change is long term we have yet to see but I can't help but feel a little bit betrayed by an old friend.

I can see the Xbox Kinect really competing with the wii, but also I think the PS Move has some good Ideas to it also. Trouble is with all these "Motion Gaming" thing all the craze at the moment. I cant see the technology being aplied to proper games, like Modern Warfare, Total War series, Rpg games even. Imagine spending up to four hours working on abig game, using the Kinect or wii, type motion gaming.

Seeing this hacked me off. Was hiring Cirque du Soleil really necessary? Kinect looks interesting, but getting a huge spectacle to grab attention from other companies is stupid. It's been widely said that Nintendo apparently 'won' E3 this year, and I haven't played the 3DS yet so I'm not sure yet, but they had the least additional novelties of them all. Just the the products and some heads from the company. Sony too. Kevin Butler was on for a few minutes but got more attention Cirque du Soleil.

Im tired of all these Wii-Copycats. Everything is about interacting with your whole body in order to play something. If I have a day where Id just like to relax and lie on the couch and play a game, Id want a normal controller in my hands to do so, and not a fricken wireless threadmill.
Most people want to chill and enjoy themselves when playing a game, and not a full body workout, especially on days after work/gym/travel etc.
