The DHOL... specifically is only in Punjab, not in other states of Pakistan nor Indians. Its pure Punjabi folk musical instrument. I am not from history but this type of Dhol music exist only in Punjab.

Secondly, bigpunjabi89, I think that the best way to spread the powerful upbeat sound of the dhol to the rest of the world, and not just Punjab or South Asia, is to incoperate the dhol into music from other ethnicities. It's also a way to bring other cultures together and have some fun. We should'nt be narrow minded to think that dhol is ONLY meant for bhangra.
