  • Complete dominance over Jaedong. Great play by Stork.

  • I'd rather have people say topleft, topright, midleft, midright, etc. Many of these maps have stuff in the topleft or topright, which correspond to a number like "10:30" which is pretty awkward to have to picture. Commentators often have to fudge it, calling it 10 instead, which throws both them and me off a little.

  • 18:04 Storms the Nydus Canal. Nice.

  • 11 Kill hero Lurker, who moved back and never even ended up dieing! Definitely MVP unit lol.

  • Personally, I would prefer angles (like 30 degrees instead of 1o'clock). The clock is hard to picture for some reason. I guess I'm too used to digital

  • using the hours of a clock is much more commonly used than angles. "watch your six" "12 o'clock straight ahead" "coming up, 2 o'clock" are used more than angles in my opinion and it's easier to picture.

    No need to have 360 directions when 12 is enough to get a good idea of where someone is referring to

  • seems like Stork took some private lessons from his teammate JangBi on how to win with storms. Stork did a very good job with his high templars, they're the main reason why Jaedong didnt manage to complete his comeback...

  • I actually rather like the 1-gate builds from Protoss. You HAVE to harass the Zerg if you do it, but it allows the Protoss to dictate play more, and sometimes it's easier to harass your opponent than to keep them from either harassing you or getting more expos than you can handle.

  • I'm glad you mentioned Stork's observers. JD is good, but this is certainly something stork needs to work on and it doesn't look like he's made much of an effort to improve it. It might be due to the way Stork groups his units. I don't know if other Pro-gamers ever hotkey their observers (I doubt it), but I know from watching stork at the last WCG that he just groups them with his goons. Perhaps his apm is better spent elsewhere, but at least he seems to be building more PvZ now so that's good.

  • p needs to use archons more.

  • Jaedong could have totally won, just muta harase the probes in storks main, or those begging mutas could have taken out a gateway or 2 if he microwed right

  • There were too many cannons , temps, and dragoons. He only had 6 or so mutas, which took damage very quickly. Even with godlike micro, you cant break a defense like that with only a handful of mutas.

  • I think storks storms and unit composition really one the game for him (except that one storm on his own probes of course)

  • It wasn't a rush. If Jaedong had wanted to commit to a surprise rush, he would have built more lings to both kill the scouting probe early and to assist in the attack. JD was actually somewhat greedy with his drones, suggesting he was only building the minimal number of hydras necessary to fend off an early sair. JD's overconfidence in his defense is what cost him.

  • No it doesn't. Zerg is supposed to be lower pop than both protoss and terran because of how fast they regenerate and the fact they have less drones. Protoss should be higher than terran in PvT since terran units are more expensive and more durable. Think about it. If each race was maxed at 200/200, zerg would be the strongest because of it's gas heavy units, terran would be 2nd strongest, and protoss would be weakest since they have the cheapest means of production (gateway)

  • yeh, plus, most of toss units require very heavy pop, like they could have 100 zealots while zerg has 200 hydras, so yes, i agree with ur statement

  • You're right that a small difference in food count doesn't matter. But when you get to the 50 or so range then it's one of many indicators that you can use to judge a game situation imo.

  • it does matter -.-;; the more food someones using means hes ahead units, it may be military units economy units etc. if you have more military units its good, if you have more economy units your more ahead. however vs Zerg zerg make up for it fast.

  • If you have say 50 scvs off 2 bases, 25 scvs per base, most of them aren't mining compared to if a zerg has 30 drones off 3 bases. That's mainly why zerg usually has less pop than the other races because of their reduced drone count. A Terran army can take out a protoss army that's around 20 pop higher than it. Why? because even though it doesn't have as many units, it's just as strong.

  • I've been to hard on Klazart, he is getting much softer, much easier to listen to these days. Making duals helps a lot to, Klazart tends to get very intense in his singles.

  • i love how klaz says ouch at hurtful moments in his videos, that and much other stuff by both commentators just adds to the comic aspect of these videos.

  • The WCG does include all countries but "WCG Korea" is to narrow down which players the country wishes to send.

  • nah its just jaedong didnt have the units to work , or the econ to suport the units he had to make. i actully think also that plague wouldve been a better choice for his defilers instead of dark swarm, with how many templar and zealots storkh had in his army, but im not a pro gamer so i would just fail anyways :)

  • Agree plague would do better than swarm.. since swarm = Storm magnet..

  • i caNT rember tho if plague comes with defiler or is it dark swarm that does. if plague doesnt he might not have had the econamy to even get plague casue he had to just make mass of units to try and hold stork back

  • You might want to look at his resources again. He got like 500 in his bank.

  • swarm is free. Plague is 200/200. Devour is 100/100. Devour is the thing they have to research before swarm becomes a major factor.

  • one base is non standard for a very long time now. Stork is pretty much the only player that still uses those oldschool strats. I think that makes him the most exciting player in pvz. Just remeber him going carriers and stuff against zerg two years ago was so awesome

  • JD wasn't prepared for the ground units that came with the initial corsair; he had his overlords together so that he could easily defend them with hydras, but that came out poorly because he couldn't spend his time attacking the corsair.

  • Stork took on quite a big advantage in the opening - he prevented Jaedong from getting many drones, he killed not one, not two, but THREE overlords, he forced a fast hydra den, and he got a quick expansion. At the end, he was about 50 up in POP, which is a decisive advantage. 20 is typical, 30 bearable, but 50 is too much.

    I think Jaedong's rush to hive had something to do with his loss - he didn't seem to have the econ to support hive tech.

  • There's been so many Zerg players winning lately that i'm really glad to see Protoss player doing well against one of the best. That was exciting game and as Protoss player myself i really liked Storks play here.

  • You have to go 2 hatch hydralisk vs a fast one gate tech build from a protoss, otherwise a potential cosair will just destroy your overlords. 3 hatch hydra is simply too late.
