This song isn't about weed. It's about procrastination. "A certain shade shade of green" is referring to the color that represents "Go" (like a green traffic light). That's why he says "I think I grew a gray watching you procrastinate. What are you waiting for, a certain shade of green?"

@lozztone As a drummer I definitely agree. I've got most of his stuff down but he is so quick! But you can never get a drummers part down pat, we don't write! There's a main theme but we never play the same twice (even Peart doesn't). Mikey, I think, is the most underrated of the band. I've seen a lot of people "play" his stuff, but they are way off. He uses very intricate chords and it's hard to even see him doing it sometimes. And even if you can part it out, good luck fretting it right!

i really don't think that's Brandon's voice on the record. I think it's just a generic sample. Though it is possible to get companies to press your own vinyl thus it is conceivable that it is brandon's voice.....i highly doubt it

no worries, ya that's exactly it. the process of recording samples like voice samples on to vinyl is do-able, it's just really expensive. With a band like Incubus that's no problem though. Turntables are hard to understand i know, but there's a lot you can do with them. In my band, I use turntables that can play cd's, that way i can record my own samples and burn them to cd, and use them that way.
