  • This sound here is one of the things that make you appreciate humanity...

  • This sound here is one of the things that make you appreciate humanity...

  • It's so beautiful that it sort of hurts my heart ...

  • @MrsLilalustig I totally agree with you! Thanks for the comment! I also like Soave Sia il Vento, from Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutti and that one is more pleasant, but I guess every beautiful thing has a bit of heart-aching element, doesn't it?

  • This REALLY is BEAUTIFUL. I am ALWAYS coming BACK for more...

  • touching, fragile, unearthly voices !!!!

  • exelente....!!!

  • This is why music was made, for this very purpose!Amazing!

  • Dislike???

  • This is my favorite version of this piece. I prefer to hear a deep, and strong mezzo in this song. This one is just about as perfect as it gets!

  • Beautiful….thank you, and thanks @jhnb12876 for sharing.

  • Who's the mezzo?

  • Wow I can actually hear the words. It's not just someone going "ahhhhhhh" the whole time.

    Fantastic, especially the enunciation.

  • @plugee probably because the singers are both francophone - it does make a difference when they sing in a language they understand

  • 7 people have no soul...

  • man theres a few bits of " opera " music that simply , touch ones soul

  • The flower duet by Natalie Dessay elevates the human spirit. :-)

  • This is so beautiful that I can hardly stand to hear it without crying!

  • Flowers, birds, streams, spring, wind touching the leaves of trees, the sent of spring and the first warm sunrays in my face, love, love, LOVE.. So incredible beautifull... If I die now I die happy.

  • the beauty of this brings tears.....

  • Doucement glissons De son flot charmant

    Suivons le courant fuyant

    Dans l'onde frémissante

    D'une main nonchalante

    Viens, gagnons le bord,

    Où la source dort et

    L'oiseau, l'oiseau chante.

    Ah! descendons

    Ensemble!

  • J'aime j'aime j'aime, sublimissimal!!!

  • how can someone compose something like that...i mean...how is that EVEN POSSIBLE

  • Most of these responses are immaterial to the music and the performance, both of which are transcendentally beautiful. The mezzo is amazing. What voices.

  • @wichitazen What voices? The voices in the song, I assume.

  • Ahh sounds so sophisticated and elegant.

I LOVE YOU SOOOO MUCH MY LOVE¡¡ I LOVE YOU I LOVE YOU

    YOUR -DCM

  • Ah.... la voix de Natalie....

  • Semi-orgasmic

• Pride is listed among Chistendom's 7 deadly sins. It's not specific what kind of pride, perhaps that means any at all. I think you can make arguements to that effect.

  • @Synaps4 To be honest, that is NOT in the bible. Catholics made that up. I agree that the the "7 deadly sins" are not things that we should indulge in, but they aren't any more deadly as any other sin. All sin is equal in God's eyes. Also, I am a singer and I sing to glorify God and recognise that everything I accomplish is through his grace, and I don't think its a sin to showcase God given talents or for someone to compliment them? I'm not sure, maybe it is.

  • @Synaps4 ever thought about the possability that not everyone might be Christian?

  • Wundervoll.

  • Inspiring...

    So deep…

    So sensuous…so direct...

    So pleasant...

    Her voice is so captivated...

    Fresh and vital...

In a world of warm passion...

    ©...Aronne

  • so beautifull

  • so pure!

  • makes me cry...

  • you can only be proud of things you did yourself

  • @beneludwig

What the hell? Not at all? Never heard the expression "I am proud of you" for example?

  • @UnicornPow3r pride as such is idiotic. pride in one's own deeds is presumptuous. pride in someone else's deeds is pointless.

  • music is a language uniquely appreciable by all it belongs to everyone who listens

  • anyone else heard this song from the guy who has the nexus one video and the seed of life livewall paper?

  • does anyone know the name of the painting on this video ?

  • Ekstaza!

  • used in the film Carlito`s way

  • Stupenda!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  • like i was saying mordern shit

  • ...dosdaje skrzydeł moim smutkom...i jest mi lżej...:)

  • @fukutubesuxx you mean, you are A moron? wow, no spell or grammar check this time. just when i think you move a half a step up, you get all flustered and back to your normal, inbred self. please just stop. it was kinda funny before, now it's just sad.

  • @fukutubesuxx that's just proof that a nice, classy place doesn't make a nice, classy person. and you're still putting words in my mouth, seeing as I didn't say anything about world news, although, as your comments reveal, you most definently ARE behind. once again, YOU said it, not me. i just noticed it actually takes you 3 comments to get warmed up so that you read as being semi-intelligent. please don't burn anymore braincells trying to reply. you must be exhausted after that "zinger":p

  • @fukutubesuxx don't own a tv? thanx, now i KNOW just how behind you are. and you didn't deny the trailer, so i guess i can assume i'm right on that part huh? and the "trash and idiot" comments? you said it, i didn't. though i must commend you for actually bothering to spell check this time. who knows? you might just get up to speed yet. say it with me: reading is FUN-DA-MEN-TAL lol nitey nite, inbred. tell aunty em i said hi:)

  • @fukutubesuxx i can actually TELL that you took a long time to come up with this brilliant, gramatically horrible response. come on, you can tell me: how many dictionaries did you have to go look through to actually understand what I was saying to you lol crawl back to your trailor and suck up more electricity on your xbox, because i think we both know that's about as cultured as you get.

ps: "you guys"? you assumed i was black, and you should know what happens when you ASS-U-ME.

  • absolutely the best version I have ever heard, balance is amazing, i think it is sung exactly the way Delibes intended, just amazing

  • things like this makes me proud to be human being

  • @tonito60187

...and things like this makes me wish I was a human being instead of an alien...

  • amazing!!!!!!!!!! :')

  • DIVINE SONG !!! AN ANGEL VOICE !!!

  • These are heavenly voices...Thank you for allowing us to enjoy them now that we are on the Earth. BEAUTIFUL INTERPRETATION...GREAT TECNIC...PERFECTAS BOTH OF THEM....I m sure Léo DELIDES would be very PROUD of them too. THANK YOU.

  • does anybody knows who's the painter of this impressive crying face?

  • Maybe one of the finnest melody ever wriitten.... it's really hard even for a musician to believe that all these voices come from human beings. Awasome

  • if any singer is more mindblowingly perfect and enchanting than Natalie Dessay, I'd like to hear proof. Gotta say, I don't think it can be done.

  • @LuthienC Depends on the aria :) I prefer Damrau for O Zittre Nicht, Der Holle Rache, Marten Aller Arten and think they are about equal in Glitter and Be Gay. That said, I adore Ms. Dessay :)

  • Nothing more beautiful than a French Opera sung by a French woman!! Sublime!!!

  • Muito bom!

  • Sing like an angel

  • French is a very fluid language. But I noticed in opera it's even more fluid. its hard to hear the individual words. at least for me, someone who is not a native speaker.

  • @blueembers2 the pronounciation can be different as well, a lot of the time letters might be pronounced that you wouldn't normally - like la reve (the dream) would be pronounced la rev-e sometimes for rhyming or rhythmic purposes. Just to make it more difficult lol...

Try singing in it when you don't know French! Nightmare!

  • @neoclassicalsop ... tout à fait !

  • @cervera80 lol I just had to Google translate that...

  • The execution is cutting-edge.

  • On a hot day like this, this sure send chills down my back :)

  • I wish I could comprehend this music, but its beyond my negro brain capacity.

  • @Shatteredtesti I think it is not your brain capacity but rather your attitude that is the obstacle.

  • Excellente articulation ! Magnifique !

  • I believe Dessay is better than Larmore, she is more angelic.

  • MARVELOUS VOICES

  • I have just purchased a nissan micra 1993 k reg an have a cd sony player in it and all my mates say the c players mint then i say ive got a bangin stereo fy me tunes then put this on they all rofl lol

  • @mignouri Absolument d'accord.

  • That line by Red (Morgan Freeman) from 'Shawshank Redemption' about 'everyone at the prison was a free man' when Andy Dufresne (Tim Robbins) played an opera record through the PA system comes to mind.

  • I know Iam the third or fourth person asking, but...where does that picture come from? Its magnificent, I would be happy to hear an answer :)

  • Perfect!

  • It's beautiful. :')

  • Ben detto!

  • i love the picture too ¨-¨

  • You can save the image to your computer by going to Show More Comments - then right click the image and save.

  • It is hard to believe this melody is from this earth -it can take your mind and soul so easily to every place you want to be!

  • Have you heard the drum corp Phantom Regiment play this? They have two solo Melaphones play this, and it the greatest thing i have ever heard.. Look up Phantom Regiment 2007

  • @cayuti ,

It's from a place on earth called France, Monsieur.

  • hauntingly beautiful!!

  • That's one badly chosen adiective

  • magnifique

  • Gives me goosebumps!!

  • things like this makes me proud to be EUROPEAN..... ---

  • Agree ! But when I hear about Irish and some text...

  • @DorianGabriello I would be proud to be a European, too. I'm just a N. American. It's OK except for the Canadians, Mexicans and all them little Central American bountries.

  • @BILL19471947 Fortunately for the EU and the rest of the world you are not European, but just a fat ass American!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cervera80 Why are you even commenting on a video that doesn't have shit to do with americans? Why are you even bringing it up? You can go ahead and hate americans, I won't stop you. Whatever floats your boat... but still what is so bad about america? true that a lot of people struggle with a weight problem but so does the rest of the world! what sets us so much apart??? just out of curiosity.

  • @BILL19471947 @BILL19471947 Fortunately for the EU and the rest of the world you are not European, but just a fat ass American!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @DorianGabriello im say proud to be human this music is universal

  • @salinas10able

    EXACTLY!

  • @DorianGabriello - are you actually full "european?"

only an American would say that

  • @DorianGabriello

things like this make me angry as being INDIAN.....

  • @DorianGabriello Things like the USA make me proud to be EUROPEAN

  • @DorianGabriello love Natalie Dessay , but Maria Callas makes me proud that im Greek. :)

  • @DorianGabriello Things like this makes me proud to be alive, ever think of that? Bet you didn't. Most humans are blinded by power and pride.

  • i like it. beautiful voices

  • One of my favorite songs of all time!

The picture is also extraordinary! May I ask where you found it? It looks like a scene from Shakespeare! Together-They are absolutely wonderful! Thank-You! -Brian.

  • Does anyone know where this recording is from? I'd like to get the CD, but have not been able to find it on the Dessay CD's I've found.

  • you'll find it on the Lakme double CD Dessay &&& EMI classics 1998 EMI France, not a live recording unfortunately but I was happy enough to find any other recording of Natalie Dessay

    enjoy!
