I have a video of a concert of Yanni...live at the Acropolis several years ago..and this song was sung by two lovely women; it was my first time to hear it and it blew me away....gives you chills no matter who sings it!!
@MrsLilalustig I totally agree with you! Thanks for the comment! I also like Soave Sia il Vento, from Mozart's Cosi Fan Tutti and that one is more pleasant, but I guess every beautiful thing has a bit of heart-aching element, doesn't it?
This lifts me up -in this particular moment i write this when i am terribly sad-
I am amazed by the magnifency of human voice.. its colors... its pitch.. its melody... its notes..... i am being taken away to the glorians of peace and wonder....
Flowers, birds, streams, spring, wind touching the leaves of trees, the sent of spring and the first warm sunrays in my face, love, love, LOVE.. So incredible beautifull... If I die now I die happy.
Most of these responses are immaterial to the music and the performance, both of which are transcendentally beautiful. The mezzo is amazing. What voices.

Pride is listed among Chistendom's 7 deadly sins. It's not specific what kind of pride, perhaps that means any at all. I think you can make arguements to that effect.
@Synaps4 To be honest, that is NOT in the bible. Catholics made that up. I agree that the the "7 deadly sins" are not things that we should indulge in, but they aren't any more deadly as any other sin. All sin is equal in God's eyes. Also, I am a singer and I sing to glorify God and recognise that everything I accomplish is through his grace, and I don't think its a sin to showcase God given talents or for someone to compliment them? I'm not sure, maybe it is.
