@joebassplayer "I am delighted to add another unplayable work to the repertoire. I want the concerto to be difficult, and I want the little finger to become longer. I can wait... One day, milkmen will whistle my tunes like Puccini." He said this about his violin concerto (check out Hillary Hahn's recording). I don't see any reason why people couldn't someday whistle his melodies, it just takes exposure and a love for the music. I hope someday people do!
Are the one or two notes which don't match the original score played like that by intention? Also, I miss the strong change in dynamics, which are essential for Schönberg. But I find a great idea to play it on two guitars!
hola andres, soy el diego donoso muchas gracias por tus interpretaciones, estan muy bien, te felicito, gracias por mandarme la pagina, a ver si te puedo enviar cosas mias, bueno mucha suerte y un fuerte abrazo
YES!! Awesome. It shows the universality of this revolutionary composer. Just like Bach, it can be played on almost any instrument, or in transcriptions. Arnold S. himself was a great transcriptor, as were Berg and Webern.
Often noticed the significance of guitar etc for S. Take Serenade op. 24 it is S. at his sweetest, lyrical. Also accompaniment of Aron's part, bel canto opposed to Moses' shouting, has that very tone colour.
Transcriptor : I believe Klemperer said that the op. 25 (Klavierquartett in G min) was Brahms' Fifth...
"Duo Noésis" reminds me of Michael Gielen's remark : We have heads, it is therefore allowed to use them in music.
Thank you for your commentaries, precisely we chose this score because it is the period in which Schoenberg is in the search of a system and leaving other one... INTERESTING!!
Schoenberg no revolucionario!? Es el quiebre absoluto. Buena transcripción!

Schonberg hoped that people would go down the street whistling his music, so I imagine he would have been amused to hear this arrangment. Well done!

hmm, what makes you think that

@JohnClementAnderson i really don't think he was under any delusion that his atonal music was going to be whisted in the street.

Wow, cool arrangement! Schoenberg's middle period is my favorite and the six piano pieces this is probably my favorite work from that period.
