i found this by searching porcupine racetrack on youtube in hopes to find the original by The State, but this is extremely surprising and awesome that this was performed by a buncha kids, awesome and great work
@nk0as, this is awesome! I remember my sister and I performing this back when we were younger as well but never thought I would see it at a school play! I have 2 questions: 1. how did this fit in to the play? 2. How confused was the audience? I could see people being like "What the f is a porcupine racetrack?" haha, great nonetheless!
@adampetermann 1) We didn't, which was what my co-director and I found hilarious. We did the number, then just put on a show and acted as if the number never happened. Kids and our co-workers kept trying to throw in references to make the number make sense in the show, but they just didn't get the humor. 2) The audience was so confused, it made me happy. That was our goal. Later, during intermission, just to confuse them more, we had a kid come out and do Andy Kaufman's Mighty Mouse.
The audience obviously doesn't appreciate the genius of the lyrics. They didn't get it at my high school either, but it was a big hit when I used it to audition for Campus Idol!
@ashjray I'm so glad people dig it. The kids had no idea what in the hell they were doing (scary thing is most of them weren't born when the sketch first aired).

@isniffedglue Thanks. A couple of the State cast tweeted the link. It was awesome, and we're really proud of it.
