There is no reason Bigfoot isn't in monster jam. Bob talked with FELD and said he was fine with the whole video thing. However, with merchandise, FELD would make no money off of BF stuff since it's an independent team. Other than that, both sides are open to running in Monster Jam, but Bigfoot is fine being a headliner at smaller events while monster jam already has two headliners (MaxD and Digger). And since feld can't make money off of Foot, they don't invite him.
the real reason for the monster jam/bigfoot split was due to footage rights; clear channel had exclusive rights to the footage and bob wanted to be able to make his "in house" videos. clear channel wouldn't budge, bob created the mtra. ironic what it takes to break a burgeoning dynasty apart. if feld (who is now the sole proprieter of monster jam footage) had any sense, they would invite bigfoot back to the series, allow them to make their videos and laugh all the way to the bank.
@SecularTechnology yes. they run a variety of series, the best of those being the Monster Truck Challenge. in my opinion, the racing courses they build are more thrilling and technically challenging than monster jam, but then it's all about those broadcasting deals. ushra has the clout and the years, everybody else just seems to disappear. if you want to see more about this series, i think the best way is to check out TheMonsterBlog here on youtube. big blue still the best!
Yea guys most of the trucks that you see on/at the MONSTER JAM shows are owned my clearchannel entertainment, most of them are not solely owned anymore, it got to expensive to maintain there own trucks and do the big shows because the stunts kept getting bigger and bigger. But I'm sure if BigFoot and his crew could afford it they'd be back on the main stage kickin butt but yea Tom Meents, Dennis Anderson, Jimmy Creten, Pablo Hufftaker are probably some of the best in the main stage sport.
wat sort of engines do these things generally have in them i dont know the first thing about monster trucks but wat engines can make all that power to move those big ass things..im from australia we dont have monster trucks here so go easy
big block chevys or fords, or dodges. usually an aftermarket race block that top fuel and pro mod drag cars use. they range from 486 c.i to 572 ci. almost always blown and injected using alcohol for fuel. they will produce from 1200 to 1800 horsepower. the engine alone will cost $ 50,000
ego got in the way of that.bob does not like losing and since jim kramer retired he
does not have driver with a all out attitude.
i've seen dan get spanked by pablo huffaker back in the day when he first started driving gravedigger and dan doesn't look any differrent driving than when he took over for andy brass.
damn what happen to bigfoot?they use to be big time and now they are small fry in the monster truck world.pull your head out of your ass bob chandler and get back into the big time before you go the way of the bearfoot, carolina chrusher, and so on.
I got to see Bigfoot once when i was a kid and it was cool but i will agree with calj00 the truck and crew are small time now. I just watched a Dennis Anderson ran freestyle (with Grave Digger of course) that rocked this and this was the best i could find of Bigfoot on youtube.
Dan Runte wouldnt sell out to monster jam, so he went his own way. Believe me, Dan and BigFoot are very capible of giving Gravedigger a whipping still.
turning courses test the drivers abitlity to handle the truck and the track. I'm from St. Louis, Bigfoot 4x4 is right next door to me. Monster Jam to him was more about Wrestling(Which it is not anymore, cuase wrestling is kinda of dead, lol). But I'm sorry to say bob, the main stage is monster jam. It is about racing and freestyle. lets be honest, people want to see your shit get torn up. lol
this is why the owner of big dummy does not do monster jam. he says it's sorta rigged in a way and no one owns him! frank schenetti i believe is his name.
i thought Bigfoot retired

Well said, although Grave Digger is my fav. it doesn't bring great compliments to a company keeping this legend out.
Would be fun having Big Foot up against GD and Max. D.
But I can't agree with campaug, you may be right about the racing but there's actual damage being done in Monsterjam, the biggest I've ever seen.
But as with all good things, shit changes for the worst as soon as money comes in, that's why we have 500 different boxing leagues, etc.
Companies make the bucks anyway, so why?

bob didnt like the way clearchannel ran the shows, it was more of a professional wrestling feel, not an actual racing feel.
campaug 2 years ago
i think it the other way around,i remember
bob had a with a network that bombed
and it seemed like a wrestling skit.I think bob realized that the sport was passing him by and he could not be competitive.
Bigfoot is a good straight line race truck and clearchannel wanted turning courses
so bob left.
