  • At 1:45, she stole the, looks like a bag o' coins, back from the red-robed dude and the guards did see it. It reminds me of the stupidness of npc's in the Neverwinter Nights series, where i could steal a hella lot from npcs without them recognizing. Funny stupidness. o.O

  • Solid story.

  • FIN PLEASE COME TO VENT CHAT

  • Starting from 6:00, the "goddess" is the student-girl from The Gamers 1, who's completely frustrated and annoyed by the first gamers. She's quite a beautiful goddess. I wonder if she can take a look at my rez-"staff". Haha. Just kidding. But she's still beautiful.

  • do you understand what Flynn sings from 5:01 to 5:29? please write it down or pm me!

  • Wait a minute, why couldn't they have used the holy water to rez Osric?

  • She probably had forgotten about it. I know I did until you mentioned it. Wish was spur of moment and she had to decide quickly. So she went with what her character saw as the best possible option.

  • The holy water was just one part of the component to rez someone. You would also need a high ranking cleric as well. Of course the one who rezed the Flinn could rez Osric as well. But the wish was better role-playing.

  • Although he went crazy with it, I agree. Flynn got rezzed by a staff. Rezzing is simplistic. I would've gone bigger and included a rez staff. But that's just me...and he went nuts about it. Way too overboard. lol

  • If she had wished to become a goddess she could've ressed him herself...

  • Then she would have to retire ther character and roll up new one. She wants to RP and enjoy playing her character. Also she played true to her character. Her character would not see the wish as way to get powerful. Their are some situations where you have to merge your self with your character and think like them. In her place, my first thought would not be to make myself a god, but to rezz someone who was a commrade NPC or not, in my party.

  • Wouldn't it be smarter to wish for the ability to rezz someone completely at will without having them lose a level from it, or give that power to everyone in the party?

I mean, that would be something I would've done in her place, considering how she has spent so long with the bard, something like that would become obvious...and it'd give them free rezz for the rest of their careers, which is always nice.

  • Imbalacing. A DM would have a curse put on character down the line to take ability away. Possibly have the ability bestowed by an object so it can be stolen/destoryed later. Or even requring a large amount of XP and/or a high material component cast to use the ability.

  • Geez, that Hierophant was more power hungry than Lord Voldemort. 0_0

  • Joanna made the right choice about the wish. Besides, you couldn't wish for ever magic item the the book. Her character wouldn't have a D&D book to ask for everything from. And whatever she did wish for the DM would have called for a INT check to see if her character heard of it. If she wished for more than one thing, like say, "I wish for a and b," the wish would have ended. As soon as she said "and" it would have started a new wish so the one wish would have been over with.

  • Well, the dungeon master controls the game period. If he says something doesn't exist, it doesn't exist. Anyways, wishing for every item in the book is possibly the dumbest wish ever. Sure, you will have all the items....including the intelligent ones that take possess you and make you do what they want you to do. It is so easy for that wish to backfire in the worst possible way.

  • lmao Not to mention if she were granted every item, it would appear on her possible crushing her.

  • yes but i don't think a goddess of light would do that, believe it or not there is a difference between a Goddess and a Djinni

  • The dungeon master controls the game to an extent. You're not going to loot great items off of dead corpses unless the dungeon master wants you to have them. A 20lv character still pwns a lv 9 one :P. And I didn't see them killing any gods in the movie? The priest guy and the main evil guy were mortals >.>

  • I knew she was going to wish the paladin back alive. The other wishes were stupid. Why wish for every magical item in the game when you can loot them off your enemy dead bodies? Why wish to be a god when you can kill gods? Why wish to be a 20lv character when you still got your 9lv equipment? Enough said...

  • At least Cass admits he's a dick at the end. And he did have a point about Joanna wishing for immortality and THEN resurrecting Osric. But of course there's the pretty large plot hole consisting of the fact that holy water was JUST USED to resurrect Flynn, and every single character forgot all about it. D'OH~!

  • I think the holy water was just a material component.

  • Also, Kas is a dick, big time.

    To be total random, dicelike:

Humans, Dolphins, and a species of monkey are the only known ceatures that have sex just for the hell of it.

    A D&D freak.

  • Are you referring to humans? Because we're a species of great ape, not monkey.

  • regardless, we are pretty fail. I wont bother to elaborate on that, since you can write a book series on it, but just think on how much humanity fails in so many faucets, even in our successes...in other news...

did you know that Berlin is so full of hot women, I cant even compare it to back in North America..

  • It would have been funny if the "wish" scene went like this:

Therin: I will grant you any one wish.

Daphne: I wish that you bring Osric back to life.

Therin: Oh, I uh... I was gonna do that anyway. Do you want something else? I think I've got anomnipotent jelly sandwich around here somewhere.

Daphne: Oh, okay. I guess I'll wish for a masterwork spear then.

    Gary: That spear isn't masterwork?!

  • Did you notice Monte Cook at approx 1.30? :)

  • I knew the guy playing the monk was kind of a dick, but WOW, that was low.

  • Paladin: "I ugh... Sorry Bill"

  • "You coulda been a god! I know mormons that would KILL for that!" LOLZ

  • silly mormons, Godhood is for Jews. just ask Jezuz.

  • haha yes and the germans always believed in ragnarok where the gods are dying

one moment... jews... germans... dying... goddammit not again

  • One thing about ressing Osric is that since he was killed by goddly powers, maybe he can only be ressed by similarily powerful forces? Just a thought.

  • Jafar complex

  • Jennifer Page was Bastila in KOTOR!

  • NEVER try to DM before having played for a while.

    Not a good experience.

    ...

    Just...trust me on this.

  • Too late to tell me that, mate. I'm GM of a whole group new to gaming.

  • I dunno, I started DMing adter 2 months, and found it quite fun and the players also enjoyed it, but then again, a more experienced DM was helping me out...

  • Well I mean the Paladin was actually a real character. I mean it was like Kevins Char. It was there the whole adventure and was more than just a henchman.

  • Wow, this video makes me rly want to play. I am kinda a wannabe gamer. I play plenty of PC games and know the basic DnD rules but I am only thirteen and it's a bit overwhelming, different versions and stuff. I am in a bit over my head, if anyone has some pointers and tips to get me on the right track it would be greatly apreciated

    ty

  • Find some experienced player to DM, and after that, try to DM a session yourself. Over time, you'll get used to the rules and everything goes faster. ;-)

Or maybe you can try the Roleplaying Game Starter Set if you want to learn the basics.

  • keep that water handy ROFL

  • Couldn't they just have Osric revived with it?

  • yep but they all seem to stupid to do so ^^

  • I really liked the scene when the Bard started to play the Hymn to Tharon.

  • Yup, that's a real good scene.

  • "YOU COULD HAVE BEEN A GOD. I KNOW MORMANS WHO WOULD HAVE KILLED FOR THAT!"

ROFLMFAO That is SO true LOL!!

  • I love the way the dude says no like 10 times in about a second! Its got a good sound to it.

  • I think that the godess in this is the same female who played as the princess in the original gamers. Im not 100% sure really.

  • yes Emily Olsen played both those characters she has been in all main dead gentlemen movies to date

  • Any idea who plays the priestess who pours the holy water on Flynn?

  • yea that priestess is bangin! like superhot...omg i'm in love

  • that dude gets pissed over a game, he needs a life big time, even for a nerd!

  • i dont get it, why is this video down...

  • add &fmt=18 to the end of the URL and it will work. sometimes youtube looses the regular quality vids for a while...somehow. but the high quality versions are always there.

  • its not just reboot the page and make sure your internet is connected

  • "Keep that water handy"

  • at 2:05 when the monk hits him, he seems to get frozen, what is that called??

  • looks like Stunning Fist Feat, stuns opponent on unarmed strike, i may be wrong

  • i thought that was only a D20 Modern Feat?

  • nope it's in the PHB

  • wear ki straps out of the magic item compendium. it gives a plus on the stunning fist atk

  • Theron's grin is just too CHEEZY its like she has 2 mouths. ROFL.

  • Mormons that would kill for that!

He doesn't know what he's talkin' about!

  • Lester steals back the "donation" to the church :-)

  • I just noticed that haha

  • Haha, that made me lol. :)

  • Theron's priestesses are HOT. Damned vows of Celibacy

  • Hell yeah!

  • Dammit, the yellow guy is a bastard! ;)

  • Thats because he can;t see past the rules and stats to the story. I agree with the GM, Story trumps Rules. Rules lawyers should all Burn

  • not in a deadly system like dnd, no one sgot fun when his char is dying of story without any possibility to avoid it. Flair trumps rules, but not story, and it was just stupid to going to bbeg and never used ANY divination...so their fault. there i agree with the gm

  • huh?

  • We're not all evil! Some of us allow story to trump rules, and screw the party as much as the GM!

  • i'm... sorry bill!

  • wishing for more wishes hahahah this guy does not know the rules!!!!!!!

    hahahahahahhahahahahahah

  • could've just used the water on him instead of a wish

  • That's, why it's called love ;)

You do stupid decisions all the time and ruin every great chance with it XD

  • hehe they "forgot" to carry Flynn's body with them to the church during their 3 day trip. Classic roleplaying mistake.

  • ohhhhhhhhh yeahhhhhhhh. They shoulda stole the staff all along.

  • "Keep that water handy!" (That Daphne heared, so thats why the wish was a little - stupid. Otherwise a real RP decision)

But as I have understood the story of the mask, the powers of the god worshipped by the wearer should be given, so the hierophant would have more power of theron not of dead? (Im not speaking A.E. so pls help me here).

    And Emily is back!

  • It looked sort of like the Death power left the mask, and the mask let the hierophant tap his goddess' power, who was trapped in the light ball on the staff. The mask just seems to be a conduit of power, rather than one of those god traps, because how is the mask death, in the same way the ball of light is light? I figured the bard was going to be a trap for Death somehow, considering how many times he died, not counting replacements.

  • would someone like to explain to me why the paladin and the fighter made their will save and the mage and monk didn't?

  • What about the Bard?

  • i didn't remember the bard's saves off hand.

  • Paladins have ridiculous saves in general (two mods to each save? YES!), and general dice randomness can explain the rest.

  • She didn't the high inquisitor was going to kill her, the paladin probably as a gm fiat or just rolling an unseen natural 20 was freed to fight back

  • Anyone know the lyrics of the hymn? >_> It's really interesting me.

  • I know some of them from listening.

Praise be to thee, oh Theran

    Goddess of the Light,

Your [...ness] and mercy guide us

    Safely through the night,

    Illumine the darkness, and

    Keep us safe we pray

That we may rise and worship you

    All...of the day!

The dots are where I can't hear the lyrics due to character dialogue.

  • The first set of dots is "radiance"

Your "radiance" and mercy guide us.

The second one may read "The Keeper of the Day". I could confirm if I could read his lips.

  • Listening to part 3 and both sections in this video I think I figured it out.

Praise be to thee, oh Theran

    Goddess of the Light,

Your radiance and mercy guide us

    Safely through the night,

    Illumine the darkness, and

    Keep us safe we pray

That we may rise and worship you

    Oh keeper of the day!

  • AWSOME

  • great decision after all there are like 100 gods in those books a good roleplay is rare

  • I have to admit that left me in tears!

I can't help wondering how many gamers would have made the same decision, still a great movie...

  • yeah me too,...

    the decision is real roleplay!!

  • hahaha "i know mormons who would kill for this"

  • To those who post and watch this- please know that if this keeps people from buying the DVD, you're aren't taking money from some faceless mega-corp, but from struggling artists & gamers who devoted years of their lives to this... and collaborators like myself who are juggling multiple jobs and family to try to make things like this. Not to get preachy, but getting cheap and stealing from indie filmmakers is just lame. If you enjoyed this, please buy the freaking DVD! It's not that expensive!

  • I quite agree. This is a labor of love for the folks who made it, and no one's getting rich off of it. If you watch this, get some laughs, and then go buy the DVD, then groovy. If not, well, you're just making it that much less likely that there'll be a Gamers 3.

  • I watched the originals (which were fantastic by the way), but these ones have just blown them off the table, they're really entertaining and I can't wait for the last two parts to be up! :)
