I haven't driven a FJ yet, but if you think you can't see in one, try trying some Ford cars. You can't see anything. Might as well spray paint your windows, you can't see anything out of them, and mirrors are small. I currently drive a Chevy Blazer and I can see anything and everywhere!! IT might be a slight difficulty to get used to a FJ but I think it'll be worth it!
You pretty much get over the blind spot thing right away. Just have to get used to using the mirrors more than usual. An amazing, attention grabbing vehicle.

Bought mine when they came out in '06( but my FJC was a '07). Love this vehicle when camping and off road.2 wks after I bought it rock chipped the wind shield.Now I don't drive behind huge trucks.Visability was limited until I spent $10 on circle side mirrors that took care of my blind spot.
My wife was rear ended by a '09 mustang, I sh!t you not, the stang was declared total and my bumber was replaced along with sensor.pay 600 amonth, but it's worth every penny when ur loved 1's r on the line.

@thegamemanz I have a 2010 RWD FJ cruiser. Which has slightly improved efficiency over the previous models. I am very impressed with the fuel efficiency for the vehicle of this size. I am not an aggressive driver and I get ~22 mpg on my daily commute.

I've had mine since May of 08, and it's awesome. Got a few love taps from rocks and a few pinstripes from taking it off-road. Every week I get stopped and questioned about it. I believe All owners like it becaus it's different, and capable to handle anything you can dish out to it. I work for Toyota and many of my co-workers think it's ugly or a step down from a Jeep. I point out the POS that there driving then tell them to shut the hell up.

I have one, and in Canada they are quite expensive but I like it. I have talked to owners about their experiances and there are only two major complaints I here of:
1 - Since the windsheild is so flat there are alot of windshield chips and cracks from gravel flying off the road.
2 - the blue paint chips way worse then the silver or yellow or black. I dont know why that is, but there must be something in the paint that makes it more soft.
I test drove. visibility is a problem. wouldn't keep me from buying one. just not as much fun to daily drive. I have a Tundra and it is a joy. The FJC's problem is the side mirrors are tall instead of wide. FJC has massive blind spots, the mirrors need to be better to compensate. Still, drive it like a truck and not like a speed demon and you'll be fine.
No, You just need to adjust the mirrors properly. I have adjusted and love it. I make excuses to go driving with my Silver FJ. People walk up to me every time I go out. They have more expensive cars and ask me about it.
