@DkBieber1 It does actually. Jin is just adding things I suppose. Eitherway if you fight you will have to deal with those kicks.. I dislike them though because if my shin meets the oponnent's knee while kicking, I sure won't kick anymore..
I am a wing chun student but I have two comments; Brook dropped her guards and her supporting foot isn't flat on the ground when doing the roundhousekick. I've been told to watch out for these during my training.
Great stuff! When I teach the roundhouse kick I have them take their lead foot and have them step slightly forward and turn their foot out pointing their toes outward. This puts your body in the proper posture and helps not to slip if the service is slippery rather than just pivoting. Great explanations though.
With the kick like in 8:20 I stopped a real speed low kick in muai thai sparring some months ago. The guy lost all momentum and needless to say I did not fully exetend my leg, as it was just sparring. Only once I have used it but not on purpose. I was pressed and reacted so.
He came jam cross+low kick, after the punches I stepped back and launched that kick, which caught his standing leg while he was rotating. Central axis worked here for me, but not on purpose! :-(
@shaunyb0i straight leg is muay thai style. In muay thai, that is correct. It also comes at a wider angle, coming in at a 45 degree. The one in this video goes straight up and horizontal. It has a little snap to it. I was taught a hybrid version. It comes in at a 45 and snaps through, like the Kyokushin Karate style. Peter Aerts uses this kick.
she is a gooood kicker! wow!
