Hockey is only popular regionally in the US, and our best athletes play football, basketball, and baseball. Your best athletes play hockey! But the # of Americans increases every year, while the # of Canadians declines! There arent enough youth rinks here.

I honestly think Barry Beck was a more feared fighter, and neither guy fought much. I actually wanted the Bruins to trade for Bubba when I was a kid because I liked his style. Even when he was old, he managed a couple of draws with Big Dave Brown, and beat a young touch Tocchet.

I met Derek Sanderson when I was eleven at the Nassau Coliseum for a Bruins/Islanders game. He was smoking a cigarette in the stairwell behind the broadcast booth. He even took his 1970 Stanley Cup Championship Ring off his finger and let my brother and I try it on. THE 1970 ring from the man who fed Bobby Orr one of the most famous goals in hockey history.
