Cold start of an MEP-006a 60kw diesel generator

MEP-006s were good generators. What people don't understand is that the duty cycle on the starters is 30 seconds on, 60 seconds off. The 806 60kW gensets that replaced these are real nice. No more adjusting the throttle every time a load is applied or removed. They have 6068 John Deere engines. Good vid!

That's a ridiculous crank! Why didn't it have glow plugs? They would have helped so much =)
