A really really great song! I love it , because it gives me a feeling i never had it at a song before.. My english isn't good , but i try my best ^^ Yellowcard rules!
@SmettBr0 i know!! not only can it be used if you wanted to reach a goal, but also i was having a really bad day and i remembered this song from listening to it on pandora. i didn't mind it much then. but when it came into my head, i realized it was an amazing song
i think its a movie documenting the nine eleven tragedy... so great... and i like the message of the song... everything is gonna be alright... be strong believe...
this usually isnt my type of music but yellowcard is one of only a select few big acceptions and this song is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this was played at a youth group retreat of mine
this song was about the lead singer of yellowcard being saved by a firefighter when the lead singer's house was on fire and was trapped. so the firefighter sacrificed his life for him and the lead singer of yellowcard was saved but the firefighter died. so he wrote a song just for him, which was a thank you letter to him...its pretty sad....
This song was rumored to be about lead singer, Ryan Key, being rescued from a burning building. In turn, the fire fighter lost his life. This is not true. If you listen carefully throughout the song you can hear Mayor Bloomberg saying: "Again today we take into our hearts and minds... those who perished on this site one year ago..."
It's about 9/11! This song also features a violinist Sean Mackin. It's a signature of the band. Check out "Ocean Avenue" acoustic, you can hear it really well.
The violinist was indeed pulled out of the Twin Towers but that's not what the song is about -- sure, it's a part of it but this song, quote, "goes out to everyone who lost someone", unquote.
It is rumored that the violinist, Sean Mackin, was in one of the Twin Towers on 9/11 and was one of the few survivors that came from the building with the help of a firefighter. It is said that as the firefighter helped him down the stairs, Mackin heard him say, "Everything is gonna be alright. Everything is gonna be alright. Everything is gonna be alright. Be strong. Believe." This, known by those who have heard the song, is the chorus.
Yellowcard, Adema, linkin park, blink 182, AFI,Jimmy eat world, Sum 41,Saosin, Three days grace, the red jumpsuit apparatus, taking back sunday, are some of my favorites bands lol Good luck people
life is simple, the answer is in your head, time does not exist. Death is simply a state of mind, absent from inner thought. Acceptance is the mark of the devil.
nice. where are the clips from? the yellowcard drummer's good, but sometimes he doesn't know where to put what... like in everywhere, the drumming was great, but it was horrible when it was put with the song.

I'll admit, i'm not a big fan of Americans, but one thing you can't deny, is that the people who worked to save lives during 9/11 are heroes, worthy of recognition. This song is a amazing tribute to those who gave their lives that day.
A few years ago, two parents went out for dinner. A few hours later, the babysitter was calling to ask if she could cover up the clown statue in the kids' room, the father said,"Take the kids and get out of the house. We'll call the police, we don't have a clown statue." The "clown statue" is really a killer that escaped from jail. If you don't post this letter on to 10 videos tonight, the clown will be in your bed at 3:00 am with a chainsaw in his hand
were people are saying kids generations from now won't care you may be right. but this was an extrodinary event and will certainly go down in history. people need to think of the people who tried to rescue people from the towers aswel as the people who worked there etc. but this song does just that.

"The song pays tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives trying to rescue people trapped in the World Trade Center towers after the terrorist attacks in New York City on September 11, 2001. The song also includes excerpts from two speeches: New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg's address on the first anniversary of 9/11 and Abraham Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address." ~ From Wikipedia.
Just thought I would share that. :] Great song <3

Hey. This song is so moving. If you want more of an understanding what actually happened on that day, watch a film called
Zeitgeist.
Just search zeitgeist movie on google.
It gives you more of an understanding of what actually happened, and not what the news tells you.
Also it gives you a real insight on life.
gives you a choice of what to believe.
And again, This song is one of my all time favorite songs.
