anyone else noted that no matter how the camera turns its view you always watch the city? i know it's a SNES game and i love this game too, but when i was little i never realized that fact
Not the leading riff of the Mexican - like if you search "babe ruth mexican" and listen to the part that starts at around 3:33 in the first video that pops up, and then compare it to the start of the TMNT stage music.
Question.... What's that robot/huge human cybotg thing krang is living in called again. I don't if I simply forgot or if that guy really doesn't have a name...
but still, if they had this version for sale on xbox live, i would buy it too. have the console and remade arcade version? i think it would be worth it
i wish i had this game... to own.... they rarely had this game on sale in memphis. so i stuck with renting it at blockbuster. i remember trying to send another game in instead of givin it back. they called my mom... they didnt like that much!
I used to have this game and I conquired it. I know I spelled conquired wrong normally I can spell. Anyway, I never in my life beat the game that fast. Damn!
I used to play this all the time!! It was a really great game, & one of the best for its time. My fave music/level was the racing on highway scene (the mode 7 one). I'm faving just for that level.
I can see some of the tunes of this game be taken up by somebody & upgraded/remixed by a professional-I bet it would be good listen! :) :) Or heck RE
MAKING the entire game with today's new technology :)
I understand what youre saying, but dont forget that this was a 16 bit port where most games barely reached 2 megs of memory limits. I'd say this was a very successful port for the snes. Its a beautiful looking game with non stop classic beatem up action. Same goes for Street Fighter 2 games and Mortal Kombat. Those ports also suffered a little because of memory limits, but you take those with a grain of salt. And to be honest, it tasted just as good without the salt if you know what i mean. ;)
They tweaked the controls, balanced the difficulty, added a new level, two new bosses, used the system's mode 7 effects, removed some of the crappy voices, and redubbed others and essentially made the game better than the arcade version.

i liked leatherhead as a boss.. he was somewhat challenging, but not enough that i couldnt consistently beat him.
i always thought the futuristic city was epic.

The music from the train stage sounds a lot like a riff from The Mexican by Babe Ruth. Look it up now and see for yourself.
