  • A better choice: Wuala and LastPass (along with Yubico).

Local encryption and then distributed into fragments along with two factor encryption. :)

  • So now when you get a keylogger installed they get all your passwords, not just the ones you type post-infection?

    Where's the benefit with that?

  • It seems like KeePassX acts like a giant basket that you can put all your eggs into.

  • Great video. Doesn't roboform makes more sense though? You can integrate it to your browser and sync it automatically. No need for db files. Thanks a lot for this tutorial!!

  • Thank you for the great tutorial video!

  • Instead of relying on the cloud and complex software In my opinion a much better way to have secure and safe passwords while not having to remember any passwords is pwdhash.com. By using a master password it generates a domain-specific hashed (MD5+salted) password.

So all i need is the pwdhash extension for my browser or if it's not available where i am i can go to pwdhash.com. This way i will have different passwords for every website and still only need to remember *one* master password.

  • i recommend to use a yubikey in combination with lastpass dot com.. check with the lastpass support if the new mtgox yubikey can be used for lastpass as well. i was starting to use lastpass because of the 2 layer login security possibility (password + yubikey) no need for dropbox with lastpass.. strongly encrypted.. premium features for $1 a month (like using mobile apps etc)

  • thanks for this! I have a nightmare of a time keeping track of all my passwords.
