  • DADDY HAVE A BITE!

    MUNCH MUNCH MUNCH!

I remember when I was three I ripped the tape out of my Toffee Apple cassette. Now to remedy that I bought the vinyl EP at a flea market and I will take care of it until I die. Consider my crime against humanity redeemed.

  • Hahaha I remember I begged my parents to buy me a toffee apple and when they finally did it tasted like crap lol

  • Hey guys we're trying to get enough support to get Peter Combe at the Big Day Out! If you'd be up for seeing Peter play, please join the 'Peter Combe for Big Day Out' facebook Group! Cheers!!

  • What a blast from the past!!! I haven't seen this clip in 20 years!!! I remember back in 1989 Peter Combe's music videos were pumped on the telly in heavy rotation including this one and others like On Top Of Spagetti n some song about singing in the shower. I remember when seeing this clip I wanted to eat toffee apples n nagged my parents for one each time we hit the grocery stores. Good to see this clip again.

    Still do.

  • Toffee apple nice and lickly

One for Judy one for Nicky

    Cruchy munchy very sticky

Don't forget to clean your teeth

  • My first ever school excursion was in grade prep to see Peter Combe in the city (Melbourne) in 1988. I'll never forget how much we all loved to listen to him. Still do in fact - And I'm almost 26!

  • I used to love Peter Combe when I was young. Tuning in to see him before the Afternoon Show started on the ABC. He was doing all this before the Wiggles ever... wiggled. Thought they were just an imitation group when they started. True they're big hits now but only Peter Combe did it for me.

  • i totally agree

  • The freak blonde one? What does it say when it sounds like they're just screaming.. It sounds horrible.. At about 35 seconds.. I just hear chew it well a bit later..

  • Actually this was from about the mid 80s, i remember very vividly because i was in grade 2 & it was 1986, back when Read All About It, Hunter, Voltron, Mysterious Cities Of Gold, Inspector Gadget, Danger Mouse & Bananaman all used to play on ABC. Remember those ABC Singalong books? "get orfa my rock, get orfa my rock" LOL

  • best song EVER! lol, saw him live and he was brilliant hehe!

  • ahh but he does! at the moment he is touring for all the kids who are now grown up! I went to the show, was awesome! he sounds just the same, absolute legend.

  • I have not seen this clip in so long I was not sure it even was a real memory! BTW this guy was a sensation in New Zealand as well!

  • Haven't you heard...?

    petercombe(dot)com(slash)tour(dot)html

  • The kid at 1:37 is kind of scary.

  • Thank you Peter!! You made childhood awesome.

  • I still have Spagga Bologna, Toffee Apple, Newspaper Mama and Chopsticks, and at 25, still listen to them.

Peter Combe is the best kid's music writer ever. The Wiggles is too juvenile even for me, and that is saying something.

  • This was on the tv adverts when I first visited Australia back in 87, we used to sing it in the car as kids.

    Great memory!

  • Fuck, thats the most funniest thing I've ever seen!!!

  • Very nice. I'm not just talking about the song!

  • that clown is my bestfriend.

    i still have his CD.

    joy, joy :D

  • i saw him at adelaide uni oball last night and he was fricken awesome! and apparently he reckons he's briging out a cd and dvd!!! yay :P

  • Can't believe he's managing Newcastle United now. Good on him.

  • What the fuck are you on about lol?

  • I still love this song after all these years:)

  • I was 3 when this was made hehe. I remember seeing this clip so many times in the afternoons on ABC Kids. I still listened to him when i was 13/14 coz my sister is 6yrs younger than me haha. Still so much fun no matter how old you are!

  • Happy memories of Primary school, way back in the late seventies.

  • Peter Combe.

The Michael Jackson of children's music in the late 80s and early 90s.

He created a market for The Wiggles and all those other wannabes.

Bravo Peter! Original is always the best!

  • very nice!

  • Haha! Super!
