What rail in the middle? :) We prefer to think of it as Hi-Rail - if it's 1:48, it's O-Scale

never saw three rails on the prototype. that stupid rail in the middle just ruins it.
three rail is toy trains and 2 rail is scale models.

How much does it matter wether its 2 or 3 rail? If you run the same exact engine that is a perfect match to O scale (1:48? I think?) on 2 rail and a copy of it on 3 rail...what's the difference?

You just stated the difference. Did you have to ask? There is nothing scale about 3 rail. The correct term is GAUGE. Nice Train Set.

Impressive empire you have there! May I suggest you post this kind of thing not as O SCALE, which it isn't, but as O THREE_RAIL or O TOY TRAIN? Keep on runnin'!

that's one of the best 3-rail attempts to posing as 2-rail I've ever seen. I didn't start to wonder until I saw those sharp curves in the beginning, then I looked for the middle rail. Very well done that I didn't notice it right away.
