  • I'm not sooo sure what the reason is ,since i don't know how to play the violin.....but for some reason ,there is just something horrible about how it was played...even if i did not watch it with tons of your movements....0.o

  • Overall it was good it was a little high pitched, but other than that and a few minor flaws. Fabulous

  • You play well, as the same as I play.

  • It was good. :)

  • learn how to not move around much

  • Its good...though umm...don't swing ur self that much....kinda too dramatic...

  • oye tocas muy bien mis respetos yo tambien queiro tocar haci oye cuales son las partiduras hay me dices no porfavor vale nos vemos buena sigue haci

  • u dont know how hard is to find it without the background music.. Just the violin..

  • do you have the music sheets for this because I really wanna play it

  • beautiful playing! Unfortunately juicyfruit357 has a point. Swaying is alright in a performance but I have a feeling you do this while practicing as well. It's for your best interest to hold it under control when practicing!

    Cheers,

    Theo

  • its the bad mic quality. not the music.

  • A little speed but wondefull!

  • lovely

  • I find the sound too high and pitchy.. I dont like it sorry!

  • Love the sound of ur violin :D

I tried playin this peice cos i love it but man! it like looks easy to play but its kinda hard to get it right! *sigh*

  • when you went up a position it sounded flat more vibrato kepp practising

  • Well done. Nice tempo. You play very well. It almost sounds so sad the way you play but it sounds so captivating. Not many I know can play this well and you have done it.

  • That's sounds horrible, tune the damn thing.

  • that was amazing :D

  • nice tempo. not nice melo. i can hear the screeches even though i dun play the violin. but, all in all, it's good. :)

  • Da la sensación de que el violín llora... no precisamente por la buena tonada...

  • i love it. this song makes me happy

  • honestly i love the way you move..

    you're feeling free..

    keep it up dear..

    ♥fighting♥

  • others are very particullarly wrong....kepp it up...more

  • Keep practicing, you've got a long ways to go. your tone is a bit flat by the way.

  • You have a great technique but don't start with a "k" sound lol

  • you're talking to a series of images that when played in sequence produce what looks like motion!

these series of images were recorded, hence they are a representation of what happened in the past. In essence you telling bit and bytes of images to stop moving is quite idiotic. It won't really stop moving like that even if you tell it to, which is unfortunate for you isn't it.

  • @guangheo nice answer =) like the motion pictures idea XDXDXD

u play really beautifull.. but you really moved too much in the clip..how ever.. wish to play as good as u

  • @guangheo english please :x

  • Good Job, Christian... this is Katie btw! =D

  • try get a better mic next time you record your vedio

  • esta repiola

  • wow fantastic

  • dude his is prolly from the wedding album fomrstring trios arranged by franz schubert. chill out... cuz thats exactly how mine goes. though the very start he played an octave lower than written but i guess he's trying his best to amaze ppl, he just needs to play with his heart not talent if u will.

  • Sorry, but its kinda the truth, I mean, you can't really help it if you've heard something better before. You tend to compare them regardless.

  • eh?. so what string did he start on originally? it sounded like an A to me..

  • he started on a g, 3rd finger on the d string

  • agree with you. I thought you would be able to play this piece quite well before i watch it, but in fact it's not. There's another version of ave maria and is harder than this.Double stoppings ,octaves.3/5.

  • I know. I know this 12 year old kid who played this song when she was 10 with her little violin. It had all the double stopping and harmonics and stuff. And the scores looked so difficult but she manages to pull it off. I totally respect her.

  • Well played!! :)

Next time, use a better camera. The sound quality here is not very good in my honest opinion.

  • 음색 귀머거리 저능이다. 귀를 폐쇄하고 구석에서 슬퍼하십시오.

  • I don't read korean...Chinese, maybe. Korean, not at all.

  • he's realy good but needs a litle more practice so he can perform much better next time..and dont put to much rosin..LOL

  • wow! I am a violinist too! And that is one of the best performance ever! Keep playing!

  • Wow! You are very good! I am still having a hard time cause of my bowing! hehehe! gud luck and continue playing!

  • very well played, but it sounded like your violin wasn't tuned all the way, if it was then you were perhaps putting to much pressure on your bow.

  • it sounds so good i wish i could play the violin but i'm afraid that i wont be any good at it and make horrible sounds i really am fascinated by it but i have never played one before nor saw one in person and i don't know how to even get my hands on one i really would like to try it

thank you for this it was great ^_^

  • thats what i thought too before i started playing but then when i finally got the curouge to get lessons i ended up being good at it you can rent one anywhere and then later on buy one i hope this is helpful and continue dreaming and make it come true okay^^

  • I think music is all about what you hear and feel and not what you see......

True he needs to practice the song more

but to judge him based on what you see you need to learn about music apreciation..... loooooong way to go.

Btw..... I can feel the effort and feelings he put into the song so good nonetheless. 5/5

And next time try closing your eye's when listening to performances like these and just maybe you'll hear what I mean. >_^

  • Thats true music is about what you feel and hear, and he does need to practice a bit more but the feelings that he is putting in made a chill run my spine (which is a good thing).

  • Ahh let them all talk.. It's good to put movement in your playing you just have to practise it some..

Violin players that just stand still suck :|

  • less moving, more music...

  • more practice...^^, anyway...it was nicely played...gud luck..^^

  • i dunno anything about violin but i envy u coz u can play it. i enjoyed it though. keep playing! :)

  • I enjoyed it.

  • it's ok ,, you can do better to make much smooth nice sound :)

    keep playing !

  • ur face and u move around too much,

  • darn... im looking for that

piece too... and i cant seem

to find sites where i can DL

    for FREE... awe man... kinda

    cool btw... try winter, by

    vivaldi, kinda common but

    still hot!... hakhakhak

  • You can find it for free at Anime on strings-look at the anime 'La Corda Doro' and you can find the piece =]

  • W00t thanks from me to :D

  • ok not bad, one piece of advice from a fellow violinist. speed up your vibrato. and practice that vibrato until you dont have to think about it

  • I don't think about my vibrato. It does whatever it wants to lol.

  • Comment removed

  • hey where do u find the score sheet for this i keep looking for it...i stopped playing violin about 2 years ago because of school...so i really want to play ave maria leemme know pleaseeeeeeeeee...great playing but a lil too much swaying...good crisp sound..

  • ok good i guess better then some posts ive seen just a lil too much swaying for me lol i sway to the tempo so idk maybe i sway too much too?????

  • Relax yourself, the feeling I get is that you were in a hurry to finish playing. slow down, you are a good violinist.

  • very nice!!!great, hope you like my version. and i invite all to see it... regards from Spain

  • I play the violin too mate and this is excellent. A word of advice from one violinist to another is to ensure that after shif changes you correcetly hit the note before going into vibrato. Also, try playing a bit softer at times, this is a very very emotive piece of music (my favourite) so you can really emphasise the dynamics. Counting the limitations though (bad acoustics and crappy MIDI) it is very very good.

  • You're good, just don't push so. Try to play somtimes soft, then loud. It's a beautiful music!

  • I really liked your version, it sent chills up my spine and made me want to cry from how beautiful it was. I think I did mist over with some tears a little! I wish one day I can play this piece as beautifully as you do.

  • considering the limitations ... this is nicely done!!

  • thx for the vid how do u get the sound like urs cuz mine plainly sux

  • when you shift positions, sometimes it sounds like your intonation is a little off before you start doing vibrato on the note.

    but its pretty good =]

  • Maybe it's just the sound quality, but it's sometimes a bit screechy. Oh and also, some long notes should be strong from the start of the bow stroke, not gradually getting from weak to strong at the end of the note.

You did a good job :) I found violin so hard to play because i'm a pianist, and i couldn't get over how whenever i played a note just a bit too loud or soft, it sounded like chalk against a blackboard :S

  • gościu nawala smyczkiem jak by grał muzykę conajmniej rockową...a to tylko spokojna ,,modlitwa"

  • you play tehe violin very well

    congratullation

    i am from argentina

    goodbye

  • Absolutely beautiful.

I listen to your version of this song just about every day, believe it or not.

    Really hits deep.

    Thank you for posting this.

  • and... plus.. i'm telling u to improve ....

but then everyone just couldn't accept it

    i'm a constructer ....

  • u mean urself?

  • this looks familiar... don't feed the troll people lol

  • very good! ;) congratulations! i love this song...

  • good job~

    very beautiful piece.

  • *cries* wahhhh i so much wanna play the vibrato but idk how. okies maybe i do but a tiny weeny bit on the viola. sorry i dunno how to play the violin, all the notes i know and play is in the viola. can u make a vid on how to play the vibrato, please?!

  • Keep up the good work [:

    You have nice vibratoooo

  • hey! it was good! just practice more! do ya very best, eh! u did good, kay! ^^

  • Can sum1 give me the notes but with the letters, example.. like a b a like dat plz, i was asked to play it for sum1 but im not good with reading the notes plz an thank you.

  • Practice makes perfect. There's always room for improvement. Good luck, keep working at it. Never forget how lucky you are to be able to play and how wonderful it will sound at the end to those who will hear it.

  • I've only been playing the violin for a few years....and I don't really know TOO much but you need to be a lilo softer on the strings. Also, work on your bowing a lilo. It slants at times.

  • Softer ..

  • your bow is going slanted at points and need to be way softer on the strings

  • So if you're such a "master violin" and "master piano", why can't you spell PIANISSIMO?

By the way, your grammar is HORRENDOUS.

It's "master violinist" and "master pianist", kthankss(:

Learn to type in proper english, PLEASE!

  • Who are you to judge?

I think you should go get some English lessons.

OH! Get some manner lessons while you're at it.

I'm pretty sure you don't know who you're talking to, so don't tell me you're better at violin than I am. I'm fairly sure it's the other way around, freak.

And piano? Haha, you're in luck. I play piano too :]

And guess what, I bet I can kick your ass at both.

Oh no, is your ego shattered? Aw, what a shame.

  • HA! Your comment was really rude. You should have at least given some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. Or you should have said something nice.

Sorry to disappoint you or anything, but no. I'm not "in loved", whatever that means. I'm simply getting the point across that you're an asshole. I care more about your lame defenses that ARE immature. Go back and read your comments, "noob".

And also, I can comment whatever I feel about your rude remark...So don't even try to complain.

  • sorry for the others But I'm agree with you!

  • well your ear is indeed a good piece......

i guess there is a prodigy around here.. XD

Well some people around here doesn't have what it takes to be good in music...

    like

  • there's a large difference between suggesting improvement and making malicious remarks. the thing i hate most are hypocrites who dish out authoritative "suggestions" without having the balls to post a video of them playing better. And without further adieu, byebye.

  • ur so conceited...omg v.v

u couldn't even come up w/a good response to cow's true remarks T__T

  • HAAHAHAH

    how old r u, like..8?

    go get a life, srsly.

this guy is pretty good so stop being such a hater.

  • soo.. well 'suteki'- wonderful.. haha sounds better in japanese ^_^= keep it up.

  • I remember when i first grabbed a violin, it sounded like that o_O J/K, I WISH! It sounded like a dying goose or something

  • que mal que suena, por favor no lo hagas mas, arruinas, el sonido tal lindo del Ave Maria

  • wow... O.O this is good.. you are awesome!!!

  • i love ave maria if you can i'd love it if you'd make another video with it thank you

  • cool, ave maria huh? ain't ur arm strokes to wide? my violin teacher said not to move from the elbow to the shoulder... I had been studying the violin for like around 5 years and i'm in book 7 I'm 13...

  • i won't deny the fact that my technical skill (i.e the "proper" way of playing) is quite horrendous. Over time I developed my own style of playing that suited my liking. I started playing the violin at age 3 so I've been playing nearly two decades. My bad habits and poor technique is pretty much beyond repair now so I make due with what I have =)

  • not to move from the elbow to the shoulder? What?????

I have been playing for 40 years, and I have NEVER heard a teacher tell a student that, period. There is a lot more to say about this subject. Too much movement is not good, granted, but to say NEVER? Is totally incorrect. the movement from elbow to shoulder is towards the end of an upbow stroke. If you don't move that part of your arm at all, you will never make appropriately to the frog. Time to get another teacher?

  • No, I think nelithecomdy11 is talking about how you are not suppose to move your shoulder when you're bowing, like you're gonna elbow someone from behind, and only bend your elbow.

  • I mentioned the second half of AM; my connection dropped and I did not hear it; Hearing it this time, the octaves, stops came out good. They sound pretty good. What Accomp are you using? I would like to try it.

  • maynlo Ave Maria is really a prayer based on the Latin "Hail Mary". It is a difficult piece to play well--as are the slower pieces. Use less bow and less pressure. Practice long slow bows(son file). Try to hold a slow, either down or up, for up to a minute, to open your practice. The sheet music as available at better music stores. I use the Wilhelmj arrangement. The second time (verse) is in octaves. Play it single notes first. Good Job.

  • what grade are you? pleaze tell me i am really curious:)>>>>>

  • i'm in second year university as an architecture major.

  • wow, you look a bit younger than that! thanx for telling me though:)

  • u can imrpove it wo im been looking for this type of music well jyjy

  • You must really love the violin to lay Ave Maria really good!

    I play the viola,

    but not that well.

  • Amazing job.

It's a great piece, and you really captured the beauty.

    =]]

I just got my own violin. Well, started playing it, with insperation from La corda D'oro... I really hope to be as good as you one day!

  • i'm exactly the same. i love La Corda d'Oro and am watchin it at the mo. im tryin to persuade my mum to let me hav a violin!

  • lol,gambatte ^^

  • wow really beautifull man..amazing

  • man, you're good. i hope i could also have the right music sheet of this piece. its so nice. and the way you play it, so cool.

  • that was fantastic . it does need to be a little softer but its teriffic. i am also learning how to play the violin.

  • good job

  • ... I heard this on la corda... maybe you should try to watch it... they have beautiful violin pieces there... this one is one of my favorites. good job! ^^ it needs to be a bit softer though... but that's alright... it's pretty good.

  • i would say the exact same thing

  • The one on la corda (I'm assuming you mean the anime) is in C major. This one is in G. =D I learnt the one in C major. =D Both are equally beautiful!

  • ^^ i feel so sad because i can online play the piano part.... i am a 16 year old girl doing my diploma in piano this year... will you think it is too late for me to learn violin at this age?

  • Absolutely not, it is never EVER too late to learn ANY instrument! If you have a passion for music and love the violin, you should definitely take it up! =)

  • Mwahaha! Thanks! I really hope i can learn my violin better!! ^^

  • hello! :D could you tell me some guidelines on what kind of violin would be great to have, how much is it and many more about it. am 20 but i want to try playing the violin someday too! got inspired from la corda d' oro.. :)

    tnx

  • etto... the music sounds.. quite harsh..

^.^ or maybe its the sound im not sure..

but.. try and play it motto motto softer onegai ^.^

after u have done tht.. pls do let me hear it..

    Arigatou ~

  • 3/5, the song is supposed to sound sweet and soft, not vigourous and strong, though needs to be frim too. But over all, you're pretty good, just practice more and you'll be better. :)

  • Well, it will sound gud if ur using the correct strings and ur playing it correctly and with all ur heart ;)

  • I love Ave Maria most , out of all the other pieces.. The person I love the most always played it for me and it was beautiful. I'm not trying to be rude...but somehow...this Ave Maria isn't beautiful at all. You're just playing it...it has no feelings whatsoever. It sounded dull so me or if not...it sounded rather angry and sad to me. But at least you're good at violin.^^

  • I had always interpreted this song to be a sad one. I think the anger you feel from this recording is the fact that the quality of the recording is absolutely horrendous, I admit that. My violin actually does not sound like that at all...

  • No no~`the recording quality aside. Your violin just sounds rough to me. Sorry~`^^ But you're good ^^ Just...not good enough for a beautiful Ave Maria~`^^ Don't get mad now.

  • haha okay thank you =)

  • Heeheen~`^^ I'm sorry if I got you offended. You're really good tho.

  • so your yhe one who plays this???good...you play nice but..yea it nid to be soft..no nid to be hard lol..but good job atleast you can play it^^!!

  • haha it reminds me of la corda d'oro too seeing how i just finished the series not to long ago

  • I love that anime!

  • reminds me of la corda d'oro. love this piece.

  • *sniff.... it's so beautuiful.... i want a violin now... then a piano... then a flute. ahhh music is heaven on earth...

  • Hey, I have a question, where did you get the music sheet? I want to play this piece but i couldn't find the version you played on the internet at all! If you can, please link me the site through a PM or something.

  • question, so basically the second half is sort of the same as the first half?

    Again, arigato!

  • thank you so much! i was able to figure it out on the recorder because of listening to you play. yeah, i watched La Corda d'oro. i play the piano and recorder and after watching it i want to have a violin!!! P.S. i play only by ear *oido. that's why i listen in youtube than read the notes. Again... thank you so much!!

  • reminds me of La Cordo d'oro..really loved that anime...i was not into classical but i have started liking it and i really love the violin...good job :)

  • you have feeling for the violin good I like that because if you hav feelings it means you enjoy playin it.

  • i wish the sound quality was better... my computer is making me mad.......

  • You're making me cry...

  • Love it :) I can't get the music score anywhere T_T Btw, nice try doing this video.. ^_^

  • Ahaha, just like in La Corda!

But I think you need more practice, or a better room. Also, who played this piece?

  • nice ;)

  • sooo awesome! oh i wish i know that too

  • awesome..wish could play like u men!

  • awesome, just like in "la corda d'oro"
