@bonsema1 I was actually on an OC Transpo bus back then...it took me from the Billings Bridge Station to Scotiabank Place to see a Sens game against the Habs, my first-ever NHL game I ever attended. Too bad the Habs won that time I was there.
I swear i cried when i saw this clip and i used to live one block from Rideau, Clarence /succex, i left Ottawa after finishing my MBA end of 2002 and ever since i never had the chance to be back,,,,, speaking of the western hotel, its night club inn the main lobby was one of my fav beside China white i duno if its still there' I love u Ottawa :( Btw, u can drop by Elgin st which is in downtown, lots of activities on that side of the city, so nice'
Hello 2006! I text on a cellphone and am new to YouTube. I have never been to a game. The old story you are raised there and dont use what tourists pay to see! The canal is another example last time was grade 5 on a fieldtrip! I walk an hour to work and would to save money even if there was no strike! Yet never having never learned to drive you miss even crappz service. Lord help the drivers when they go back people have lost jobs!
Nearing Day 44 of a transit strike. I NEARLY HAD FORGOTTEN WHAT A BUS LOOKS LIKE. Yes folks the fricken CAPITAL OF CANADA does not have buses and the goverment wont step in. NICE. Must be nice for billonaire Mayor Larry O Brian to walk ten minutes to city hall from his two million buck condo!
I was on an OC Transpo articulated bus back on 11/20/2008...I and a few friends went to see the Ottawa Senators take on the Montreal Canadiens at Scotiabank Place...but, unfortunately, the Habs won in a shootout by a score of 3 to 2. It was my first NHL game I ever attended.
ooohhh... nice buses !
and the Maple Leaf shuffleboard saloon there !
Bruce McCall was wise to emigrate.
But the mining barons don´t emigrate, they´re all on Parliament Hill all the time.

@nostalgiamelancolia1 I've only been to that city's airport (YVR) back in August of 1999, only for a change of aircraft.

It's Westin, not Western, which was the hotel where the CACL's 50th Anniversary celebrations were held.
