No you do not but... this system is not a GT system. You would need a different setup for GT. The system here would not make enough electric to sell back to the utilities unless you make a lot more then you use. This system is designed to defray electric cost by providing either low voltage (12 VDC) to run lights or power electronics and other devices that use 12 VDC or use a inverter to provide 110 VAC to devices in your home, what ever powered by solar/wind removes those from items grid.
