  • how did you learn this?

  • @difcymru

it's called "adagio E cantabile", second movement of a Hayden piece

  • Does anyone know the name of the piece of music being played?

  • @difcymru originaly it was beetovens moonlight sonata.... but it has been remodled with new pieces here and there over time

  • @monster4585 thanks

  • Sooo Nice Why U Not Made It Longer???

  • I watched many many versions and I can definatly say that Yours is most like Lestats.. It really touches me.. beautiful ,all i can say..

  • love it

  • el tremolo se escucha mal en esta pieza

  • You play really great, but in my opinion you play to gently. Lestat had more power, more anger. But it's very good :)

  • @notnone333 Its a keyboard, there are no pedals for intensity. Keyboards FTL.

  • wich ius this song name???

  • I play another Lestat variation of this song also. I long to get a bigger synth keyboard, I only have 61 keys so I can't make this song sound just right. I'm gonna buy an 88 key synth eventually.

  • omg wow this is just wow i play it on the guitar 12 string and i love the lava lamp

  • wow - perfect

  • This totally sounds like Beethoven's 'Moonlight Sonata'... That's why I love it so much!!!! You did a terrific job. I loved it.

  • what is the title song is wonderful, please?

  • where did you find the notes for this?

  • And ppl dare to say "Twilight blablabla" Anne Rice owns

  • @memito872 agreed Anne Rices series are so much more deep. Memnoch the Devil is probably one of the best fiction books ive ever read, granted its not literature but still very good !

  • you deserve every view i play the violin and little piano and guitar but lestat i cant play yet 5 * keep up the depressing music

  • "Should we put out the light? And then put out the light. But once put out thy light, I cannot give it vital breath again. It needs must wither." MY FAVVV QUOTE!!!

Evil is a point of view. God kills indiscriminitely, and so shall we, for no creatures under God are as we are, none so like Him... as ourselves.

Don't be afraid. I'm going to give you the choice I never had.

  • With the lava lamp, the scene did get eerie. :D

  • You're the man!

  • Vary, Vary, nice :D

  • Awesome!

  • That G# C# F G# position is tough!

  • @JPtwooK I have trouble playing that part and doin the trill on the high notes at the same time. I've always had trouble multi tasking on piano. haha

  • Good Job Bro! you have talent...Did TC actually play this or was it just hollywood?

  • Cool, dude!!

  • hi! this is amazing... have you the sheet?

  • I love <3 that movie

and that song is so beautiful... almost make me cry :`)

  • great, and i like your lamp XD

  • This is great, although i prefer this composition better Allergo.

  • Excellent! Do you know where I can find the original sheet from Lestat´s Sonata...please.

  • For everyone who is gonna ask the same question os cristinaroco, what Cruise played is a variation of Haydn Piano Sonata 59 in E Flat Movement 2 (Adagio e Cantabile) there is NO sheet music for what tom cruise plays, there is however sheet music for the official thing.

  • hayden sonata 59

  • hayden sonata 59, second movement, Adagio e cantabile.

  • Very well done, good job, this piece that he plays is wicked gnarley so it is great that you learned it. Rock on! :)

  • really good

    any music sheets? =]

  • I don't know if I told you, but about two months ago I made this version of you playing my ringtone on my phone. The slow part is my ringtone. The second fast part is my text msg. alert.

    You play this perfect.

  • I don't normally like classical music, but Lestat played this piece with so much emotion I just could not ignore it.

And this version is beyond excellent :)

  • cool lava lamp.... lol

this is beautiful.... amazing... brittlant, take any of the three....

  • exelente

  • awesome!!!

  • excellleeeennnt!!! I totally love it <3

  • Beautiful!!

    I think its Haydn, no?

  • It is:)

  • For some reason it kinda reminds me of Moonlight Sonata.... Do yew not agree?

  • oh, what i love the film...is so cruel, so dark and sadness is everyhere... i saw it 1000 times...and this is the best song of the film...

  • how did you find out the notes for the song??

  • Lestat: Listen Louis. There's life in these old hands still. Not quite Furioso. Moderato? Cantabile, perhaps.

    Claudia: How can it be?

Lestat: Bless the alligator. His blood helped. Been on the diet of the blood of snakes, toads, and all the putrid life of the Mississippi. Slowly, Lestat became something like himself again. Claudia... You've been a very, very, naughty little girl.

  • @dublinandrew Are you sure it is "been on the diet", rather than "then, on the diet..."? I always thought it was the other way around. But then again I thought he said "Ask the alligator" which in my opinion packed more Lestat attitude.

  • @dublinandrew ROFL you just brought back memories hahahah

  • i really like this song!

  • i would love to learn how to play piano. i play guitar really well and its great but the piano is truly amazing. is it hard to pick it up at the age of 19?

  • i hope not. i want to start taking lessons again (havent played piano since i was 8)

  • I started playing 10 months ago and im at flight of the bumble bee even diploma 1 level abit. But im 17 (16 when i started) so it all depends on if your willing to put in the hours. If you cna play guitar then your half way there already.

  • Your comment is significant to me in two ways, for one I at one point wanted to give up the piano for the guitar :) and just guess what age I started playing at...

  • Is there any sheet music avaliable for this at all?

  • nice:O

  • me encanta!!!!!!!!

  • 'Claudia, you've been a very, very naughty little girl,'

  • bravo,five stars!

  • cool i love the film interview with a vampir

  • Comment removed

  • I really loved that a lot! Is that Moonlight Sonata?

  • No, Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata is another.

  • Sonata In E Flat Hob. XVI 49 Adagio E Cantabile by Joseph Haydn.

  • I love it!

  • you are the man. perfect rythm, thanks for this, hopefully i can learn it.

  • So amazing!! you play the piano so cool!^^

  • thts really gd, u're quite talented.

  • my name is lestat =]

  • what's the name of that song, not the original, the performed one!...please help!!

  • it's just one of hayden's sonata, in the movie it's just a different variation, no specific name. can't rename some one else's work

  • i think this is what you ment

Joseph Haydn - Piano Sonata 49, movement II

  • he didn't want the original song's name. he wanted to know what lestat played

  • Amazing... but this piece needs a different ending... please upload all. Thanks.

    The sound is great.

  • amazing...

  • Interview With a Vampire is probably one of the BEST movies ever made.

  • =D ... D= grr but queen of the damned sucked horribly!!!

  • Well done.....

  • Lovely job.

--Side note: in 'his' version, he played the main tune with his right hand.

  • awesome.....

  • SO BEAUTI4

  • wow is cool the song

  • Personne na la partoche a me filé ?

  • I just wanted to say thanks for this video. I've had it on my favourite list for a long time, and I still listen to it occasionally. It's excellent!

I with you'd post a video with the whole piece. :)

  • Cool =D can you give me your partition?

  • Est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait me passer la partition? la mienne est asser mal écrite..merci d'avance.

  • t'as vraiment raison mon ami =S

  • je la joue et c'est une galére c tro dur -_- il est for on diré ke c une promenade a fér pour lui

  • That's a beautiful melody. I especially love the part towards the middle where it gets a little faster.

  • no it isn't lmfao are you kidding me it's his own variation of Haydn's piece.

  • It's Haydn's Piano Sonata No.59 in E flat major Hob.XVI, 49: II Adagio e cantabile

  • SQUEE!!!LOVE IT

  • god your have sexy hands... hehe nice playing.

  • What the piece called?

  • Of course they only show Lestat'shands. Tom Cruise can't even act, let alone play the piano. Lestat is the only good acting job I've ever seen from the man. But it was fantastic. He seems to have poured all of his talent into Lestat and left none for any other roles.

  • i like stuart townsend as lestat in queen of the damned better he was sexy as lestat

  • Yep, I agree. He was born to play lestat. :P

  • its not the moonlight sonata

  • this is so beautiful i always loved the piano but never learned to play :(

  • this is very good. Interview With The Vampire is my favorite movie and Anne Rice is my favorite author, so when it comes to Lestat im very critical, getting irritated when people dont do him right. but you did this perfectly, the whole time i was watching this i was picturing Lestat having just come out of the swamp and sitting there playing. and im glad you showed only your hands too because every time they show his hands in the scene, they show ONLY his hands.

  • i can stop watching it......

  • Who, besides Lestat, wrote the piece?

  • it's the moonshine sonata but i'm not quite sure how wrote it....beethoven or haydn.

  • it is not moonlight sonata by Beethoven. I can't remember the name but its by Joseph Hayden I think it might be Sonata No. 59 or 49

  • Its not moonlight, its Haydn, Adagio E Cantabile

  • and it should be from the one youre playing in this video exactly because all of the other downloads dont sound the same, and yours is played the best :]

  • you should put music download out for this.

    its incredibly beautiful :]

  • beautiful... if you like this look up candyman piano theme- it's not my video but it is beautiful just the same.

  • amazing..

  • "Her lips were red, her looks were free,

Her locks were yellow as gold:

Her skin was as white as leprosy,
