I prefer the dub but Gurren Lagann is still Gurren Lagann either way you look at it. Regardless of who voiced who and some pronunciation differances i think both voice overs were superb and neither of them gave anything more or took anything away from the show more than the other one. In my mind Gurren Lagann is the perfect anime and i'll love it and support it in any form that it exists in.

@needelbeene Ungrateful whining troll. Japaneses themselves recognized the Gurren Lagann's English dub as an amazing dub. Yes, I agree that Kamina's voice was sometime lacking in a way I can't describe, but it's totaly overshadowed by the amazing job Simon's dubber made. Simon as "Semon" ? Viral as "Veral" ? They are only fricking names, grow up !! As long as we understand who are they talking about, we don't fricking care !!! Stop crying annoyingly on each fricking anime video !!!

Second one's been out in Japan since April and will be coming to the VIZ Cinema this November.

It has not been released in America on DVD yet, and a dub has not yet been announced, though the chances are strong that both movies are being dubbed as we speak. The second movie, titled "Gurren Lagann The Movie 2: The Lights in the Sky are Stars" will be in the VIZ Cinema for 2 nights this November.
