  • pain in the ass. motorized auger is best.

  • And....And.....And.....And.....And......

  • If you ever need to replace your bath tub drain you must try this amazing new tool ezXtractor. Drains can be replaced in minutes

  • This is great! thank you for posting this. Very informative! Thank you!!!!

  • Ha, my tub has no overflow!

  • Thank you for being the only place I've seen that suggests to use the overflow! It fixed it! :D

  • What yall know about drain cleaning?

  • What you pulled out of that drain wasnt even close to a clog. Do you realize how many people have to have someone come out to get their little crap hand snake cable that they rented or bought retrieved because they fold it up and break it off in the drains after watching how "easy" these videos show them this is to do? When your in some crap apartment complex on the 3rd floor w/bck 2 bck tubs full of black water. clear a real clog pal, then ill be impressed. Not bashing you, but show me somethin

  • Now do a back to back tub. Show us your skills.

  • @159Plumber That my friend is a bitch to do but good thing I know the tricks on that, with a gorlit it's going to be hard with a Rigid hand held drill style with a drop head attachment no problem.

  • Thanks!!! It worked like a charm... I'm a student nurse and custom art framer by day... plumber by night. LOL. ^_^

  • Too slow and shaky...maybe you could've used another person to do the camera and/or commentary......just my opinion!

  • "Snakes on a Drain"

  • O my good so helpful!

  • Great! Now let me just go and buy that expensive piece of equipment.....

  • This guy is great! Tried a plumber's snake through the tub drain, tried Drano, then watched this video and inserted the snake through the overflow. And it worked! Tons of hugs and kisses to you Russian sounding plumber guy!

  • Very helpful!

  • @cameron. Your best bet is to get access to waste and overflow that is located under the tub. Once you have an access to that use channel locks to remove the nuts to disassemble the pipes. Then you are able to remove the stopper assembly. Just make sure when you reassemble the pies that the washers are in good shape.

  • Question: working on a tub that has the internal stopper with the linkage, etc...stopper was "cut free" by former maint man and linkage removed...internal stopper stuck in tub shoe, tub won't drain...tried to "fish" internal stopper out with "hooked" wire, a snake with a curved hook, forceps, etc...Any ideas?...tks...Apartment Maintenance Tech

  • I just have one thing to say: thank you so much!!!

  • Thanks for your tip. I kept getting the snake stuck by going directly down the drain. I did get the job Manually but using a snake equipped with a circular case and handle to twist the snake somewhat with ease.

  • Good video.. was able to unclog my tube within 10 min. thnks

  • Yes you can use it without power but it will be really hard to make it pass through p-trap and elbow. Maybe if you keep turning and twisting it manually then it will go in. Good luck.

  • Can this even be done if you don't have the machine that goes on the snake? All my mom has is the snake part alone. It doesn't have the electric machine on it. None of us at the house ever knew how to properly use it.
