  • Healy was the greatest radio sports commentator ever - Jim Rome isn't fit to blow the dust off Healy's microphone.

I used to arrange my day to be sure to be by a radio at 5:30pm. I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard Lasorda's "Kingman's performance" rant in 1978.

  • A legend. How many radio personalities can you quote so accurately and with such vivid memories? That says all you need to know about how great Jim Healy was.

  • Please join Jim's Facebook page

  • What a blast from the past! My husband and I used to listen to Jim healy everyday on the way home from work at UCLA!

  • My father listened to this all the time when i was little. Brings me back to riding with my dad in the car. Love this

  • Always loved the show and my dad would leave work a little later to catch it.

  • Is Jim Healy still alive?

  • Nobody did it like Jim Healy. I saw him on a syndicated fight show from the Olympic Auditorium that ran in the mid-'70s into the '80s, and never saw him after that, until I heard this clip. Wow!

  • I miss Jim so damn much. 5:30-6PM just isn't the same :(

  • INSANE TEARS IN MY EYES ....UH YEAHHH

  • The greatest and most unique show and concept in Los angeles Sports talk history. Nobody can touch it and should never try. This gentleman was a genius.
