Thanks for this video. I like the rooms although a bit small. I'll be on this ship in December and I have the same room. I am so looking forward to it.
Thanks for this video. I changed the room I was in to this exact same one. The balcony I had was a hull balcony at first but this room was available. My husband and I know exactly what our room looks like. Feel more secure now.
You are such a funny lady! I love your coments and reactions to things. My family loves NCL and your videos are really helping us plan our trip on the Epic next year! Thank you SO much!
One thing. I HATE YOU. IT'S 4AM AND I CAN'T GET ENOUGH CRUISE SHIT TOURING!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGGGGGGGHHH!!! I've been put in charge of choosing a cruise for the fam for Jun-Jul 2012 and now I wish it could be NOW!!!!!! But in all seriousness these are so great and helpful. I love the reviews and tours, because they are so practical and succinct. THANKS SO MUCH!!
Seeing as you were able to see all of the staterooms, which would you recommend. I am debating whether or not I should go with a standard balcony OR for a little bit more, a mini-suite (which is only $10 more for the week I'm going.)? Im just wondering if the size is noticeably larger? Thanks! :)
I went on NCL Epic last spring break :-) It's a roomy ship, but your right, the cabins arent so much. But at least it's nice and full of storage. But almost too much.

I'm planning to try NCL on that ship in Dec. I'm a #Carnival man myself but my ball & chain wants to try other cruise lines so we'll see... Oh, what floor were u on? Was it the 8th because I couldn't find that cabin on the 8th floor plan.
@kevinw9528 This was an inaugural cruise, so we didn't have to pay much at all. The point of the tour was to give people an idea of what to expect. We found the Balcony cabin to be a bit smaller than what we have experienced in other Balcony cabins on other ships.
i went on this cruise in its second sailing in 2010, and it was amazing. i stayed in a similar cabin to this one, but i should tell a few things that i discovered about my cabin. firstly, that couch turns into a bed (: secondly, my cabin had a privacy curtain right by the
"toilet room" and shower, so getting out and drying off is no prob at all (:
it was a great experience for me, being my first cruise. i would recommend this to EVERYONE.
@Travel Guy Travel i know and your video are just so darling i love them, but it seems weird that not many videos of passengers who are not agents, and it makes me wonder why? over 4000 passenger each cruise and not getting much info from just regular people who are agents, makes me wonder why??
@theAXELnater274 Pricing varies on the time of year, length of cruise and number of people in the cabin. I've seen prices as low as $499/person, and as high as $1299/person. Are there specific dates you're considering?
@Travel Guy Travel your videos are very good, you have a natural talent in front of the camera, i think you can do more, why are you not on good morning america and view, talking about cruises, i think you need an agent and you could do very well, your video are clear and entertaining, your personality is amazing and i trust you, give it shot and i cant wait to have the rest of the country see you!!! oh when you become famous i expect a free cruise !!!!!!!
I took the Epic to Mexico. I was in a single room and paid only the single price. No single supplement. The rooms are all inside and small, but perfect for one person. The room has a virtual window and mood lighting that changes colors. The single rooms have access to a common area which has a bar and snacks were you can mingle with others. Also all the restaurants have open seating, and you can eat whenever you wish. I would take the Epic again in a minute.
Wow, very interesting! That outside 'shower room' is funky! I would hate that. And the turny thing next to the door? Why didn't they have it accessible from the inside? Makes more sense, since sometimes you want to do the 'do not disturb' without going outside! And couldn't any mischievous person change it from the outside? That could get a bit dangerous! I kind of expected a lot better from their new EPIC ship. :-D Thanks for a good review and letting us have a look.
@sloanetarskavaig Regarding the "Do Not Disturb" selector wheel, yes, would have made more sense if it was accessible only from the inside of the cabin. However, I've been on several ships where someone, some night felt the need to steal all of the "Do not disturb" signs from all the cabins on our deck. So the problem is not a new one, just a little different.
Loved this video because I too would have been looking all over for that switch lol We will be going on a cruise on this ship in March so thanks for the info :D
@Maxthedogification I'm 99% sure there is a curtain. Although, the challenge isn't the privacy while you're showering (the glass is frosted), it's when you need to exit the shower and dry off.
Thank you both for you wonderful reviews and video from the Epic cabins. I've been looking for just such reviews as I'm thinking of going on that ship next year. Very helpful.
@SuperAnimalGuy We were on deck 8 towards the aft of the ship. If you are on deck 8 with a balcony, you will be looking down on a lifeboat. You might want to call and get that changed.
I loved the EPIC. my family and I just got back from a seven day Western Caribbean and according to the officers, it was the largest group of passenders they've ever had on a Norwegian Cruise Liner!
I had the same problem finding the switch at the sink. One extra thing we found were two additional storage drawers under the 'sofa', which is a bed for a third person. I had two balcony rooms like yourself side by side so our cabin steward opend up a door and it became a HUGE balcony. It was EPIC!
@cherished1961uk Free dining venues include: Taste, The Manhatten Room, The Garden Cafe, The Great Outdoors, and Spice H2O. I belive the remaining venues require a nominal fee, and I highly recommend making reservations.
great video but that is a HORRIBLE room set up

it was a trash can thats under the sink. the metal canaster in it is for sanitary napkins
timmyryan11 1 month ago
@timmyryan11 Actually, we were later told by our stateroom attendant that the drawer was for wet towels and the canister was for trash.

I am planning to be on EPIC in 03/12. We are a family of 4 in a balcony cabin. How would 4 people stay in the room? Does the sofa convert into a bed?

Was that a curtain that went across the room towards the shower and toilet room. Cuz you could see through the shower glass pretty easily.

Did you ever find out what the drawer/metal receptacle thing in the sink area was for?

@plentypeas Yes. It's for used towels, since the normal place you'd put them (floor of the bathroom) doesn't exist.
