I love Diagnosis Murder. There is one thing I could never understand about it though.....how come Amanda and Steve never became a couple? I mean they had really great chemistry and they flirted with each other in pretty much every season. I was always suprised that steve didn't ask her to marry him or that they didn't date. however after watching the series over and over i get the feeling they either did date each other in the past or perhaps they just never got around to it
