@Bluedragon1211 same key and close to tempo, but its still apples to oranges. When picking chords like this, you need to follow the chord progression. REM for instance cycles between two chords during the verse, with a slight change in the prechorus alternating between two chords, one still similar to the the first. Where as here, the verse consist of at least 6 chords played in a melodic fashion. Id say its much more closely related to elvis presely's song than REM. Good ear though

Good to know that a musician who has probably never been to war or even thought about it can write a song about the thoughts and feelings of a soldier. Not all of us think our mission is wrong and in fact I have seen and done more good over in Iraq than I have ever seen anywhere else. It's true though, you people don't deserve your freedom, you have squandered it away and cried injustice over the most trivial things. People are starving and dying the world over while you sit comfortably.

Second, my position sits that when I came home from two tours in Iraq, very proud of the Iraqi people for making such progress, and ultimately patriotic and believing in the mission, I come home to my own people, who are unappreciative of anything we have done and can only complain about and focus on the most trivial things.

However, that doesn't extend to all civilians as I know there are plenty out there who are making the best of what they have and are very appreciative of the freedoms they are given.
