What I believe has only in is not popular belief but I am not preaching about it. I just would like to see more fact.... as we speak some of the facts that from the foundation of belief for Anthro are changing... This is a common misunderstanding. We are to Apes, what ducks are to birds. 'ape' is a larger grouping classification, so we technically still are apes, albeit we're in the sub-set group 'Great Apes'.

@37sktrCZ a better way to put it, is that, in fact, we ARE Apes... the true separation for me is that there are those who want to build a case that Hominids are separate from Apes, and from which we descend... I find that incorrect. Hominids are Apes that have evolved into a slightly different direction, which allowed them to change mentally, more than physically, based on necessity..

On a personal level, human behavior proves we evolved, because humans, as all living creatures, form groups & compete. There's no way the earth is that young, totally impossible !

Excellent video about one of the more important finds in recent years. I'm suprised there hasn't been as much commentary on this as on AL288-1. I would like to see more on what we've been able to learn about the paleoecological context of the finds. What was the projected population based on the environment? What were common predators and/or resource competitors? There is still so much to learn, espceially in the transition from genus Australopithecus to genus Homo. Good video.
