  • Bob Dylan is a fake and a phony!!!!

  • Oh, BTW there is no 'lip sync' problem 'oh you people of little faith!' It's just that the whole audio-to-visual' is out by a second or two (nobody could lip-sync that bad, even if they tried).

  • @TheSmellyhat I have a recording of this entire concert and there is no discordance between the visual and aural track; it is this particular version which is out of synch.

  • AWESOME clip - thanks for this share!! Was the band in an accident? - some nasty-looking head injuries there (seriously, though, doesn't the 'experimental' head-dress just confirm how much jews and arabs are alike in appearance and demeanour???). Thanks again!

  • Dont forget about this part. Its the most cold blooded part. Ill be running my 20 miles, when i get to who i need to get to there in trouble :)))))

  • so whats up with the lyrics???

  • Bob Dylan and His Merry Group of Taliban.

but jokes aside, that is an amazing performance

  • This song is just crazy good. Of course this video didn't quite match the words.

  • 1975?

    Is that Mick Ronson?

  • This is one of my favorite BD songs, for sure.

  • It is from the television special that aired in 1976 "Hard Rain"

  • 日本じゃ福島第一から国会議事堂へ愚かな風が吹いている。

  • i'm highly doubtful that it was liip synched.... i've seen him live more than once and he doesn't sing in any way that can possibly be lip synched. Plus isn't he focused on that live perforance moment, where it can be different each time? I think he is the greatest!!!

  • Man he was so hot!

  • Major lip synch problems here. No matter. Its great, a superb version.

  • It's Adam Sandler guys!

  • @InnerSmile72 I jut thought the same thing lol!

  • masterpiece!

  • greatest thing ever. kill me now (after i watch this).

  • This is great, love this song <3 He looks good here. Love you Dylan <3

  • I LOVE YOUTUBE!

  • I can't believe this is about the same person as 'Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands'...

  • I don't care what the fuck youre doing Bob.Just love ya always.

  • "Down the highway, down the tracks, down the road to extasy, I followed you beneath the stars, hounded by your memory.." that says it all

One of the great lines of rock

  • ...and how bout that backing band?? "And you leavin' me standin' in the middle of the air." Luv how he changes the lyrics on the turn of the dime=>

  • This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen on Youtube.

  • 福島第一から国会議事堂へ愚かな風が吹く idot wind ,blowing like a circle around my skull from the fukushima nuclear plant to capitol.

  • top 10

  • Subtitles say Chestnut Mare, Bob sings Smoking Tomb.

  • @pkreutzer the subtitles appear to follow the lyrics of the album version. Bob was notorious for changing his own lyrics. For me, it's his voice that makes this version amazing.

  • I'll never forget my ninth birthday, when I received the new "Hard Rain" album 8-track tape as a gift. I think I listened to this number at least once daily. I didn't go for the whole album, but some renditions, like this one, were astonishing.

  • This is all about one woman... Guess who???? What a great version.

  • this is why i only went to see Dylan only once live

  • OMG ! he can remember all those words....

  • 歌詞の間違いが多すぎる。歌が台無し。

  • The Beatles were bigger than Jesus

Marilyn Manson is more famous than The Devil

    BOB DYLAN IS GOD!!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 5:13 its the first moonwalk!!! michael jackson got his main move from bob dylan!! BTW, this is AMAZING performance. He's on fire this day.

  • @sneak108 you're right, it's amazing the stage isn't burning!

  • This kicks ass.

  • A theory - it's to Sara and about how the media attention destroyed their marriage.

  • @CurtisMateer I am reading the book called "The Ballad of Bob Dylan" right now and the author says Sara was in the audience during this show and Bob and her were just about split up for good.

  • what year was this concert

  • @rockandrollmcdonalds I'm guessing 1975. I distinctly recall the prime-time

ABC "In Concert" presentation of this.

  • blowin' every time you move your mouth..teeth. I love you Bob.

  • as good as it gets, or has gotten

  • @wellspout true that

  • I've always wondered whether there was some kind of reference to Blowin in the Wind here. There is an intelligent holy wind of the times and there is fashionable bs.

  • @CurtisMateer a man can only breathe in and breathe out I suppose.

  • @dannyknapp O very Zen Danny, very Zen!

  • Bob, on fire. Hard Rain, for me, is the best thing he ever did. Nobody else has ever sung like this.

  • Pause at 1:13...it's a pretty funny picture :)

  • @LeongBobby Ok lyrics? As far as Dylan's live vocals go, I'd say this vid would have to be considered great(much better than ok). I'm a huge fan so I'll sit through some of the more painful(less harmonic, unintelligible) vocals but i'm sure other "huge fans" have heard performances where you can barely make out the words he's singing, gotta love those performances too but I'd say a vid of this quality is a gem. Thank you for posting

  • @whentherope Pretty sure the poster is talking about the subtitled lyrics :) At least, that's what I think, because the subtitled lyrics have errors where letters should be and completely different wording.

  • nice

  • Powerful lyrics. Totally heartfelt. Too much.

  • You're an idiot babe, it's a wonder you still know how to breath...

  • WOW!

  • The background singer during the chorus was a great touch. Love this version.

  • My all-time fave Dylan song! Thanks!

  • The priest wore black on the 7th day and sat stone faced as the building burned. I waited for you on the running boards near the cyprus trees while the spring time turned. Sloooooowly into autumn.

I haven't heard all of Dylan's songs, but I've heard many and I think this is my favorite lyric of his, and so far my favorite lyric ever.

I took alot of English classes in college and read alot of poetry, but I don't think any of it hit me like a good Bob Dylan song.

  • haha 4:28 was just like the mistake he got away with in the recording of Like a Rolling Stone...

The time of Blood on the Tracks was Dylan's best singing years in my opinion. And everyone has to admit it's alot better than his voice now.

  • @dablueman21 his voice is a blues growl now and still very badass in my opinion

  • @muclesmarinara yeah but now you can't understand a word he says, so to me it's just a growl.

  • @dablueman21 You can't understand him? Perhaps you're not listening closely enough. He is on tour now again and the 2011 tour videos and reviews are all over the internet. The reviews are great and his voice is perfectly clear. I heard a version of "Gonna Change My Way Of Thinking" that was so spectacularly rockin'.

Have you turned your back on Bob?

  • @muclesmarinara I can understand him, and so can you, but that's because we know the lyrics. People who aren't as familiar with Dylan wouldn't understand him at all now. He is still and always will be a great poet, and that's what matters.

And no I have not turned my back on him at all. It's your opinion that his voice is fine, and you can stick with it.

  • @dablueman21 Well I mean he has never sung pretty. I am used to his voice being not that good and I am used to him changing his style every few years. I'm not completely convinced that his voice is as "shot" as he presents it because he has deliberately changed his voice in the past to put over a certain sound. A perfect example of this is how he sounded in Nashville Skyline using a country voice. Either way I will follow him and listen to him forever no matter what.

  • @dablueman21 Agree Blood was one of the best, but hearing Rolling Thunder is over-the-top great ART.

  • @stjulienlepauvre Yeah, i guess i meant the 70's.

  • Bob Dylan = badass!

  • yeah !!! thanks for this !!!

  • when dylan sees this he'll pull it ....

  • MuthaFer. To the fn core of the matter. BD = Art.

  • Yes, it's an astonishing performance. Riveting. Where was it done? The source of the video? The whole concert?

  • @DavidMSucher This was at Fort Collins in 1976 as part of the rolling thunder revue. Knowing that makes it easier to find other versions of this video since the ones on youtube tend to be taken down eventually.

  • It's Bob Dylan... what more needs to be said?

  • the story goes that his ex wife sara was in the front row. This songs is so well written. this is why I love music. you can say things in song that you can't really say in real life. Like you're an idiot babe, its a wonder that you still know how to breath. my ex walked into the bar I was playing at and guess what song I decided to play next? at the top of my lungs hehe love you Bob

  • the bass player is rob stoner

  • my favorite depressing song of his

  • Can I just say THANK YOU for posting this again. However, the lyrics you posted, not so cool. What's cool about Bob, to me, is you never know what you're going to get. He sang this song, on this day, this way, for a reason.

  • 70!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • happy birthday zimmerman-timeless.

  • Happy Birthday Bob. You are the greatest.

  • HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCKY love you

  • yeah yeah and yupp yupp Bob !!! ... thanks for posting.

  • This is a f;)king great song. Thank you Bob.

  • Is this on a record somewhere?

  • @loflo999 yeah, this recording is available on the live CD Hard Rain.

  • No better version of this song. Bob is smokin' it. His band is on it. However, this video contains the Blood on the Tracks lyrics which in several cases are not the words he's singing here. Also, the audio track is out of sync with the video track. What a shame.

  • Aint Bobby so cool?

  • Leong! Thank you! God Bless Bob Dylan

  • first ever recorded moon-walk. 5:12. Dylan always and forever an innovator!!!!!

  • This version is so fuckin hard. Bob is the man

  • Yes, rolling thunder is great. I can't get enough.

  • @eddy67 Yes the man

  • Is that Don Imus on steel guitar?

  • Bob's the fucking king. You indie bearded pussies, with your fucking 1972 flannel Neil Young shirts pale in comparison - all of you.

  • Thats insane he can rremember all those words

  • great base playing.. who is it>

  • From tour in 1976.. This was up for months and removed owner

  • From tour in 1976

  • dylan's prime, he was a beast during this period.

  • the audio doesn't seem to fit the video well, but I love it :O)

  • lol he sounds like hes drunk

  • @MrKingRoyale he was high.

  • Someone's got it in for me

    They're planting stories on YouTube

  • You didn't know it.

You didn't think it could be done.

In the final end he won the war,

    After losing every battle.

  • you'll find out when you reach the top , you're on the bottom!

  • this song is awesome. one of my favorite dylan tunes... i'll enjoy it regularly till its gone. thanks for posting.

  • he looks like/reminds me of adam sandler

  • @anthraxq Well, they are both Jews.... One is an Idiot, the other is a Genius... You decide which is which...

  • @Chrisnyc36 i like lox

  • Oh, idiot wind. This song has so much emotion. Anger, mostly, but feelings of lost love as well, I can see. It rlly hits home....
