I dislike the the new version of obscure. In general, while the new album has a lot of cool stuff in it, i think it lacks coherence. I feel like many times there is just no direction in the melodic lines, even if they are pretty, I think they tried to do so much that it just came out sounding unfocused and silly.

B.) If there were first time listeners, they might have been a little turned off by this.

The old version of Obscure has more heart, detail, craziness. I hope Dir en grey is not going to recreate more songs off Vulgar or even Withering to death. Sevenstring Guitars in drop A-tuning doesn't fit with Diru in my opinion. In two months they will rerecord Dum Spiro Spero you will see :-)
