  • i love Tomatoes and every time i start canning ... i might get two jars canned ... i eat the rest :(

  • I gotta get ready for the apocalypse. This will help preserves my foodstuffs.

  • @brianmeff I think the hot jars are to prevent 'temperature shock' because you will be putting a warm jar into a hot jar. I agree with you on the tomatoes lasting more than a year. I 'found' a case of tomatoes that were 6 years old and they made a wonderful sauce!

  • @AuntDuddie ooops I meant a warm jar into a hot bath. duh.

  • I keep my jars in a hot oven after boiling since I don't have a large cook top

  • I'm confused. I used the directions in the Blue Book and the times are completely different than stated in this video. May explain why I had problems. I'll try this method today.

  • I have just started doing some canning. It makes so much more sense to see it because reading doesn't explain it as well sometimes. Thanks!

  • I am so glad you decided to do these few canning tutorials. I grew up on home-grown and home-canned vegetables. So excited to try my hand at it - and I'm in my 40s. HA! Thank you, Ball!

  • another great video,i plan on doing alot of canning this year and look forward to using these videos as reference, thanks!
