@cheifexaminer No, these things were hand made and sold by folks by the side of the road when I was a kid in Dixie.. Hadn't seen one in ages, and saw an old video of one being played in the Hills of Virginia and went lookin' to find one. Got this one off ebay and am thinking it'd be a fun thing to make..
