i used to owna 2002 Stratus, the midnight blue pearl. I loved that car they only have a 2.0 in it, But it would go any where, I took mine off roading a few times. and even ran with low oil for so many months. before i got it. Plus with the stock 2.0 in the s/e you can pull a turbo off of a pt cruiser and it will practicly bolt right up to the stratus engine. Def. amazing car.
rofl i hit 110 in mine it will go a little lol but i have the 2.0 so its REALLY REALLY slow ... 110 mph is probably the limit stock . maybe with an exhaust and intake and chip it would do better though
Ours is the 4 cyl also , however outhere where I am there are roads with no speed limit, I had my 04 Stratus up to 140+ with pedal left over , flat road ,etc. I expected it would not allow me over 110 like our old neon , but she just kept climbing until sanity kicked in.... :-)
i have a 98 stratus manual transmission. its a good car but it can have some cosmetic failures. such as the the air conditioning vent is not turning and the mirror glass fell off. but its not underpowered if u get a stick. i hate automatics
i have a dodge stratus 2004 2.7 pretty fast for 2.7 but make sure it was not a rent a car like mine many problems but got a new engine due to lock up and runs bad ass....

I drove one of these, and all I can say is it's really underpowered with the 4 cylinder;go with the V6. Besides the power tho its good for a compact car.
Yes, I been Stratus owner since 1999 and now I have one 2004 and I'm very happy and satisfied. The engine 2.7L with 6 cylinders it's better. it has a beautiful desing and it's not too large or small. Actually we still own the 1999 model without problems so, both are in good conditions
