Why even bother to compare XC riders and Dh riders? the bikes are totally different and the demands that the different sports put on riders are radially different.
The XC riders are some of the worlds top achieving athletes when it comes to cardiovascular abilities and endurance. what XC racing is all about is clearly lost on the DH fan boys critiquing these videos.
@Jordenkl you have no idea how good the top xc guys are at technical riding. They might not look it but that's because they are the smoothest riders out there. These bikes are designed to be as light as possible and therefore need care on descents. If you put sam hill (or any downhiller for that matter) he would just pummel through the descents because he is used to DH and he would just break his bike. Besides, he wouldn't be as fast as the xc guys because an xc bike requires finesse to go fast
