Thanks Grams! Sometimes they'll come by and look at the fish for a few seconds but then they move on to other things. I used to have one cat that would catch them, but he got run over several years back. He once brough 3 fish through the pet door. I put them back in the pond and 2 of them lived. I had to put blocks around the pond to keep him out of it.

The fish didn't seem that upset by the experience. They seemed to take it all in stride. Nice pond - did you put that together?

I sped up the film by 5X, so things in real time were quite a bit more laid back than it appeared on the video. I think it's a 75 gallon pond. Originally it came with this waterfall thing but maintenance was too difficult with the waterfall part of it attached. It's always a struggle against algae with ponds. The pond actually belongs to my mom but I seem to have done most of the work on it including the initial installation.

Thanks PB! For some reason they've never really shown all that much interest in the fish pond. Plus it was pretty cold. The day after I filmed this it froze up solid and I had to thaw it out with hot water. One milk jug of hot water on the spout thing got it running again and one jug on the ice made a hole. It's best that things not stay frozen totally over for long or the fish will die.

I'll only be using HD on the occasional vid. Yikes, it takes a long time to upload and go live.

Whenever YouTube finally gets smellovision I'll then have to buy an underwater camera for future fish vids:) Although I may go broke if I film any more fish vids. Their agent insisted they be paid scale:)

Is your connection any better these days for viewing HD vids? Mine's still working without a stutter about 80% of the time on them.

Speaking of psychiatrists, I once had a phobia about tunnels. In order to go through one I had to place a carp in a goldfish bowl outside one end of the tunnel. Aided by the friendly company of the carp I was able to pick up the fish bowl and walk through the tunnel with no problem. The shrink said I had

The HD option takes a while to show up. It actually did show up from my location before you left this comment. Apparently you were viewing it from a different server. I'm sure it's probably working from all servers by now. The audioswap thing seems to take a while to show up reliably too. Ya, MissCris has a tendency to take long hiatus's.

It does sound like Nascar when the audioswap music isn't playing. I put the vid on private until audioswap took hold. Then made it public. It seemed like at first the music came and went though, but it seems to be pretty stable now. Or the sound might not have been what you were referring to at all, LOL.

You know, a fun "experiment" to do with kids (and adults lol) is to take a big pitcher of water and add things like glitter, plastic bits, paper, and oil and try to clean it up.

Now escalate that a few hundred thousand times.

Hmmm, a couple of them do have knots on their noggins. I gave them some medication a while back but it didn't seem to do any good. I've yet to have one die of anything other than being dragged out of the pond by a cat I used to have though.
